2015 IIHF World Championship Division III
The 2015 IIHF World Championship Division III was an international ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation. It was contested in İzmir, Turkey, from 3 to 12 April 2015. Seven nations participated, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, who joined the world championships for the first time since 2008. After three consecutive years of finishing in the second place, North Korea won the tournament and was promoted to Division II Group B for 2016. Divisional tournaments are designed, by the rules, to include six teams, however the Bosnian federation asked to be included and the Turkish organizers agreed. Georgia recorded their first victory, defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 4–1. The 2014 IIHF World Championship Division III was an international ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. It was contested in Luxembourg, Luxembourg, from 6 to 12 April 2014. Division III represents the sixth tier of the Ice Hockey World Championships. Kim Song-gun (ice Hockey)
Kim Song-gun (; born 1945) is a North Korean painter. He works at the Mansudae Art Studio in Pyongyang. Life Kim was born in 1945. He initially worked as a blacksmith for 3 years. After his military service, he started working for the Mansudae in 1971, and studied at Pyongyang University of Fine Arts from 1972 to 1975. Work Kim Song-gun is also called "Painter of the Waves" since he mostly paints sea and river sceneries with thunderous waters. Despite a very realistic depiction the paintings carry a subtle kind of modern abstraction achieved through the dramatic presentation of the waves. One of those paintings, ''Waves of the Sea Kumgang'', was noticed internationally due to a photo from Bill Clinton's state visit to North Korea in 2009 showing him sitting next to Kim Jong-il with the large green waves painting in the background. Michel Welter (ice Hockey)
Dr. Michel Welter (21 March 1859, Heiderscheid – 22 April 1924) was a Luxembourgish politician, and former leader of the Socialist Party. A member of Luxembourg's Chamber of Deputies, he served as the Director-General for Agriculture, Commerce, and Industry from 24 February 1916 until 3 January 1917, during the German occupation.Thewes (2003), p. 69 He was one of the fiercest defenders of Victor Thorn's National Union Government. Poorly implemented policies designed to avoid a food shortage back-fired, and the country only narrowly averted a famine.Letter from Thorn to Buch (in German), 28 August 1916 Welter, as the minister responsible for both agriculture and commerce, was held responsible; on 22 December, Welter was censured by the Chamber of Deputies.
