2015 European Mixed Team Badminton Championships
The 2015 European Mixed Team Badminton Championships were held at the Sportoase in Leuven, Belgium, between 11 and 15 February and were organised by Badminton Europe and Badminton Vlaanderen. It was the 23rd edition of the tournament. Germany was the defending champion. The draw was made on 18 December 2014. Participating Countries 33 national teams entered the competition of which 12 are participating in the final event. Five countries qualified for the final directly, the remaining nations qualified by winning their qualification group. * — at the time of the entry deadline, not taken into consideration ranking of Belgium and Germany. One day before the start of the event, Spain withdrew their team from the competition. Ivan Sozonov
Ivan Andreyevich Sozonov (russian: Иван Андреевич Созонов; born 6 July 1989) is a Russian badminton player. He competed for Russia at the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Summer Olympics. His current partner is Vladimir Ivanov. The duo's victories at the 2014 European Championships and 2016 All England Open rendered them as the first Russians to win the men's doubles in each of those tournaments. Chris Langridge
Christopher Phillip Langridge (born 2 May 1985) is a retired British badminton player. He competed for England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won three medals. He represented Great Britain at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and won a bronze medal in the men's doubles, partnered with Marcus Ellis. They also won gold medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and 2019 European Games. Early life and education Chris Langridge was born on 2 May 1985 in Epsom, Surrey. Langridge was educated at Therfield School, a state comprehensive school in the town of Leatherhead in Surrey in southern England. The school were twice National Schools champions. Langridge was introduced to badminton when he was ten by his teacher Jackie Cunningham who was a badminton coach of the county, and within 18 months at the age of twelve he made the England team. Marcus Ellis
Marcus Ellis (born 14 September 1989) is a British badminton player. He was the men's doubles champion in the English National Championships. Ellis and Chris Langridge won a bronze medal in the men's doubles at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, also gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. At the 2019 Minsk European Games, Ellis captured two gold medals; in the men's doubles with Langridge and in the mixed doubles event with Lauren Smith. Fontaine Mica Chapman
Fontaine Mica Chapman (born 2 January 1990) is an English badminton player. She started playing badminton at age 6, and joined the England national junior badminton team in 2003. Early life, training and domestic results Her grandad used to coach her every day after school when she was a junior from age 9 and also helped her with summer training. She first represented England at the age of 12 years old at the under 13 Aros Junior Cup in Viby J, Denmark. She was runner-up in the women's singles event of the English National Badminton Championships in 2013, reached the semi-finals in 2014 and again a losing finalist in 2015. Soraya De Visch Eijbergen
Soraya de Visch Eijbergen (born 6 January 1993) is a Dutch badminton player. She won the Dutch National Badminton Championships in 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2020. She won a bronze medal at the 2011 European Junior Badminton Championships in the mixed doubles event. On 25 September 2018, she announced her departure from the Dutch national team and emigration to Switzerland in pursuit of further badminton ambitions. Theratil Rajiv Ouseph (born 30 August 1986) is a former badminton player from England who represented both England and Great Britain in the international tournaments. Ouseph was the European Champion, winning in 2017. Ouseph was born and brought up in London and is of Indian descent. Eric Pang
Eric Pang (born 30 January 1982) is a Dutch badminton player, who became European Junior Champion in 2001. He won the National Dutch Championships seven times between 2009 and 2015. Career As a part of the BC Amersfoort team Pang reached the final of the European Cup 2007 held in Amersfoort. Together with Lotte Bruil-Jonathans, Yao Jie, Larisa Griga, Dicky Palyama and Chris Bruil. The final was lost against the team of NL Primorje. Gabrielle Marie Adcock (née White; born 30 September 1990) is an English retired badminton player. Career Gabby started playing badminton aged 10 in the badminton club at her school and became a full-time player straight from school at 16. She competes in badminton as a doubles specialist. In 2007, she won a bronze medal at the European Junior Badminton Championships in girls' doubles event partnered with Mariana Agathangelou. Christopher Thomas Adcock (born 27 April 1989) is a retired English badminton player. Adcock is currently sponsored by Yonex and YC Sports and plays for the University of Nottingham-based NBL team. He entered the National team in 2006, and later won the boys' doubles and mixed team titles at the 2007 European Junior Championships. He was a World Championships medalists winning a silver in 2011 with Imogen Bankier and a bronze in 2017 with Gabby Adcock. Selena Piek (born 30 September 1991) is a Dutch badminton player who specializes in doubles. Her current partner is Cheryl Seinen for women's doubles and Robin Tabeling for mixed doubles.
