2015 EAP Under-19 Cricket Trophy
The 2015 EAP Under-19 Cricket Trophy was a cricket tournament held in Blenheim, New Zealand, from 24–28 February 2015. The tournament was the sixth edition of the EAP Under-19 Cricket Trophy, and the first to be held in New Zealand. All matches will be held at Horton Park. The winner of the tournament, Fiji, qualified directly for the 2016 ICC Under-19 World Cup, to be played in Bangladesh. It was Fiji's first tournament win, and they consequently became only the second ICC East Asia-Pacific side to qualify for the World Cup, with Papua New Guinea having won all previous editions. Papua New Guinea defeated Vanuatu in a playoff to gain entry to the 2015 World Cup Qualifier, with the chance to gain the final spot at the World Cup. ICC East Asia-Pacific
ICC East Asia-Pacific is the International Cricket Council region responsible for administration of the sport of cricket in East Asia and the Pacific area. The region was founded in 1996 with a regional office established in 1999. The area covered by the region includes two Test cricket, Test nations, four ICC associate members and five ICC affiliate nations. The region is headed by the Regional Development Manager, Andrew Faichney, based in Australia at the offices of Cricket Australia. Samoa National Cricket Team
The Samoan national cricket team is the men's team that represents Samoa in international cricket. They became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2000. They competed in the Pacifica Championship in 2001 and 2002, hosting the tournament on the second occasion. They came 6th in 2001, and 5th in 2002. In 2005, they competed in the East Asia/Pacific Cup, finishing in last place, thus missing out on qualification for the 2011 World Cup. Since 2017, they became an associate member. Loa Dika Toua (born 23 June 1984) is a Papua New Guinean Olympian weightlifter. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Women's −49 kg. She competes regularly in the 53 kg weight class. The Papua New Guinea national cricket team, nicknamed the Barramundis, is the team that represents the country of Papua New Guinea in international cricket. The team is organised by Papua New Guinea Cricket Board, Cricket PNG, which has been an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1973. Dipak Narshibhai Patel ( gu, દિપક પટેલ; born 25 October 1958) is a Kenyan-born former New Zealand cricketer, who played 37 Tests and 75 One Day Internationals for the New Zealand cricket team. He is the current spin bowling coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League for 2018. Slit Drum
A slit drum or slit gong is a hollow percussion instrument. In spite of the name, it is not a true drum but an idiophone, usually carved or constructed from bamboo or wood into a box with one or more slits in the top. Most slit drums have one slit, though two and three slits (cut into the shape of an "H") occur. Shane John Jurgensen (born 28 April 1976 in Redcliffe, Queensland) is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer. He has played for Queensland, but has also played for Western Australia, Tasmania, and the Sussex Cricket Board in English county cricket. Playing career Shane Jurgensen was a talented fast bowler who rose to prominence on the Queensland club scene in the early 1990s. Unable to secure a place in his home state's side due to the strength of their bowling attack, he moved to Western Australia, where he made his first-class debut.
