2015 Duke Blue Devils Baseball Team
The 2015 Duke Blue Devils baseball team will represent Duke University during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Blue Devils will play their home games at Jack Coombs Field (sometimes at Durham Bulls Athletic Park) as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They will be led by head coach Chris Pollard, in his third season at Duke. Previous season In 2014, the Blue Devils finished the season 3rd in the ACC's Coastal Division with a record of 33–25, 16–14 in conference play. They qualified for the 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference baseball tournament, and were eliminated in pool play. They failed to qualify for the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Chris Pollard
Chris Pollard is an American baseball coach and former pitcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the Duke Blue Devils. He played college baseball at Davidson for head coach Dick Cooke from 1993 to 1996 before playing professionally in 1996. He then served as the head coach of the Pfeiffer Falcons (2000–2004) and Appalachian State Mountaineers. Playing career Pollard is from Amherst County, Virginia, and attended high school at Virginia Episcopal School and college at Davidson College and played for the Wildcats baseball team for four years. He pitched in the competitive Southern Conference, and ranks third all-time at Davidson in wins. He also ranks highly in the Davidson record books for strikeouts, appearances, starts, innings pitched, complete games and shutouts. Evans Diamond at Stu Gordon Stadium is a college baseball park on the west coast of the United States, located on the campus of the University of California in Berkeley, California. Opened in 1933, it is the home field of the California Golden Bears of the Pac-12 Conference, with a seating capacity of 2,500. Evans Diamond is located in the UC sports complex at the southwest corner of campus, pressed between George C. Edwards Stadium to the west (right field) and Haas Pavilion to the east. Liberty Baseball Stadium is a baseball venue in Lynchburg, Virginia. It is the home field of the Liberty Flames baseball team, a member of the NCAA Division I ASUN Conference. Cary C. Boshamer Stadium is a baseball stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. It is the home of the North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team. History The previous home of the Tar Heels was a multi-use venue called Emerson Field, which sat some 2,400 people. The 2015 Delaware State Hornets baseball team represented Delaware State University in the sport of baseball during the 2015 college baseball season. The Hornets competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Eastern Division of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). The team was coached by J. P.
