2015 Copa Do Brasil Finals
The 2015 Copa do Brasil Finals were the two-legged final that decided the winner of the 2015 Copa do Brasil, the 27th edition of the Copa do Brasil, Brazil's national cup football tournament organized by CBF. The finals were contested in two-legged home-and-away format between Santos and Palmeiras, two of the most successful clubs of Brazil. Following a draw to determine the home and away teams for both legs, Santos hosted the first match at Vila Belmiro in Santos on 25 November 2015, while the second match was hosted by Palmeiras at Allianz Parque in São Paulo on 2 December 2015. Santos won the first leg by 1–0, and Palmeiras won the second leg by 2–1. The competition was contested by 87 teams, which qualified either by participating in their respective state championships (71), by the CBF Rankings (10), by qualifying for the 2015 Copa Libertadores (5) or having the best 2014 Série A record (excluding those qualified for 2015 Copa Libertadores). The latter 6 clubs entered the competition in the 4th stage. The best six teams of the 2014 Brazilian Championship eliminated until the third round qualified for the 2015 Copa Sudamericana. Maringá Futebol Clube, usually shortened to Maringá, is a Brazilian football team from Maringá in the southern state of Paraná. The club was founded on 2010 as Grêmio Metropolitano Maringá. Londrina Esporte Clube, more commonly referred to as Londrina, is a Brazilian professional association football club in Londrina, Paraná which currently plays in Série B, the second tier of Brazilian football, after being promoted from Série C in 2020. The 2016 Copa Libertadores de América (officially the 2016 Copa Bridgestone Libertadores for sponsorship reasons) was the 57th edition of the Copa Libertadores de América, South America's premier club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL.
