North Bay, Ontario
North Bay is a city in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. It is the seat of Nipissing District, and takes its name from its position on the shore of Lake Nipissing. North Bay developed as a railroad centre, and its airport was an important military location during the Cold War. History The site of North Bay is part of a historic canoe route where Samuel de Champlain took a party up the Ottawa River, through present-day Mattawa, on to Trout Lake and via the La Vase Creek to Lake Nipissing. Apart from Indigenous people, voyageurs and surveyors, there was little activity in the Lake Nipissing area until the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in 1882. That was the point where the Canada Central Railway (CCR) extension ended. Kerri Einarson (; born October 3, 1987 as Kerri Flett) is a Canadian Métis curler from Camp Morton, Manitoba, in the Rural Municipality of Gimli. Einarson is the three-time reigning women's national champion in curling, skipping her team to victory at the 2022 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. She previously won silver in 2018. She has also won two provincial mixed curling championships in 2010 and 2013. Mill Bay, British Columbia
Mill Bay is a commuter town of about 7,200 people located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada about north of Victoria, the capital. It is part of the Cowichan Valley Regional District. Mill Bay was founded in the 1860s with lumber and milling as its primary industries, done at the mill on the bay. It was named for the sawmill built in the area in 1861 by Henry S. Shepherd soon purchased by William Sayward. It is known for its ferry to Brentwood Bay on the Saanich Peninsula and the historic Malahat Drive, which is also a source of criticism due to frequent closures from either automobile accidents or weather conditions. Sarah Wark (born February 17, 1986 in Winnipeg) is a Canadian curler from Chilliwack, British Columbia. She currently skips her own team out of Abbotsford. Career As a junior curler, Wark and her team of Darah Provencal, Stephanie Jackson and Sarah Neal won the provincial championship in 2005. The team represented British Columbia at the 2005 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where they would finish with a 6–6 record.
