2015 Calgary Stampeders Season
The 2015 Calgary Stampeders season was the 58th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 81st overall. The Stampeders finished in second place in the West Division with a 14-4 record in John Hufnagel's last year as head coach before he hands over the reins to offensive coordinator Dave Dickenson in 2016. With Ottawa's defeat of Montreal on October 1, Calgary qualified for the playoffs for the 11th straight season. The Stampeders gained home field advantage in the 2015 West Division playoffs with their Week 15 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, in the team's first visit to Tim Hortons Field. The Stampeders defeated the BC Lions in the West Semi-Final, but lost to the Edmonton Eskimos in the West Final game and failed to defend their Grey Cup title. Canadian Football League West Division
The West Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), its counterpart being the East Division (CFL), East Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the West Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The five teams in the West Division are the BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Elks, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The 102nd Grey Cup was a Canadian football game played November 30, 2014, between the Canadian Football League West Division, West Division champion Calgary Stampeders and Canadian Football League East Division, East Division champion Hamilton Tiger-Cats, to determine the Canadian Football League (CFL) championship for the 2014 CFL season, 2014 season. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. John Tyler Varga (born September 24, 1993) is a dual Finnish-Canadian former professional American football fullback. He was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2015. The SFU Red Leafs or Simon Fraser Red Leafs teams (formerly the Simon Fraser Clan) represent Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Lemar Durant
Lemar Durant (born August 20, 1992) is a former Canadian football wide receiver who played seven seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He attended Simon Fraser University, where he played college football for the Simon Fraser Clan. He was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the second round of the 2015 CFL Draft. Larry Taylor (born May 30, 1985) is an American gridiron football wide receiver and kick returner who is currently a free agent. He originally signed with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League as a free agent in 2008. He played college football for the Connecticut Huskies, where he returned punts for touchdowns in each of the Huskies' first two bowl games—the 2004 Motor City Bowl and the 2007 Meineke Car Care Bowl.
