2015 CS Golden Spin Of Zagreb
The 2015 Golden Spin of Zagreb was the 48th edition of the annual senior-level international figure skating competition held in Zagreb, Croatia. It was held at the Dom sportova on December 2015 as part of the 2015–16 ISU Challenger Series. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four ( men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. The Triglav Trophy dropped out by October 10, 2014, resulting in a series composed of ten events. Pair skating is a figure skating discipline defined by the International Skating Union (ISU) as "the skating of two persons in unison who perform their movements in such harmony with each other as to give the impression of genuine Pair Skating as compared with independent Single Skating".S&P/ID 2021, p. 109 The ISU also states that a pairs team consists of "one Woman and one Man". Nikolaj Sørensen (born February 18, 1989) is a Danish-Canadian ice dancer. Competing for Canada with his skating partner, Laurence Fournier Beaudry, he is the 2023 Four Continents silver medalist, a six-time Grand Prix medallist (including gold at the 2022 NHK Trophy), a five-time Challenger medallist (including gold at the 2019 CS Nebelhorn Trophy and 2022 CS Finlandia Trophy), and the 2023 Canadian national champion. Laurence Fournier Beaudry (born July 18, 1992) is a Canadian ice dancer. Competing for Canada with her skating partner, Nikolaj Sørensen, she is a six-time Grand Prix medallist, including gold at the 2022 NHK Trophy and a five-time Challenger medallist, including gold at the 2019 CS Nebelhorn Trophy and 2022 CS Finlandia Trophy. Lana Petranović (born 4 January 2000) is a Croatian pair skater. With her skating partner, Antonio Souza-Kordeiru, she has competed in the final segment at four European Championships. Skating career Early years Petranović began learning to skate in 2007. As a singles skater, she appeared at one ISU Junior Grand Prix event, in October 2014.
