2015 Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2015 Big 12 men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Big 12 Conference. It was played from March 11 to 14 in Kansas City, Missouri at the Sprint Center. Iowa State won the tournament for the 3rd time and received the conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA tournament. Seeding The Tournament consisted of a 10 team single-elimination tournament with the top 6 seeds receiving a bye. Sprint Center
T-Mobile Center (formerly Sprint Center) is a multi-purpose arena in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. It is located at the intersection of 14th Street and Grand Boulevard on the east side of the Power & Light District. It has effectively become the city's primary indoor arena, a role previously held by the Kemper Arena, which had been built in 1974 a few miles away in the West Bottoms neighborhood. 2014–15 West Virginia Mountaineers Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 West Virginia Mountaineers men's basketball team represented West Virginia University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mountaineers were coached by eighth year head coach Bob Huggins and played their home games at WVU Coliseum. They were members of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 25–10, 11–7 in Big 12 play to finish in a tie for fourth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament to Baylor. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated Buffalo in the second round and Maryland in the third round before losing in the Sweet Sixteen to Kentucky. Legend AP Poll This poll is compiled by sportswriters across the nation. In Division I men's and women's college basketball, the AP Poll is largely just a tool to compare schools throughout the season and spark debate, as it has no bearing on postseason play. USA Today Coaches Poll The Coaches Poll is the second oldest poll still in use after the AP Poll. It is compiled by a rotating group of 32 college Division I head coaches. The Poll operates by Borda count. Each voting member ranks teams from 1 to 25. Each team then receives points for their ranking in reverse order: Number 1 earns 25 points, number 2 earns 24 points, and so forth. Chavano Rainer "Buddy" Hield (born December 17, 1992) is a Bahamian professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Wayne Anthony Selden Jr. (born September 30, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for Manisa BB of the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi. The 2014–15 TCU Horned Frogs basketball team represented Texas Christian University in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was head coach Trent Johnson's third season at TCU.
