2015 Arctic Race Of Norway
The 2015 Arctic Race of Norway was a four-stage cycling stage race that took place in Norway between 13 and 16 August. It was the third edition of the Arctic Race of Norway and is rated as a 2.HC event as part of the UCI Europe Tour. The race is the northernmost race in the 2015 men's cycling calendar. The champion of the 2014 edition was Steven Kruijswijk, though he was not present to defend his title. The race was won by Rein Taaramäe () on the final stage, ahead of Silvan Dillier () and Ilnur Zakarin (), after the three riders broke away from the pack on the finishing circuit. Alexander Kristoff () won the first stage and the points classification, while the mountains classification was won by August Jensen ( Team Coop-Øster Hus). BMC won the teams classification. 2015 UCI Europe Tour
The 2015 UCI Europe Tour was the eleventh season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2015 season began on 29 January 2015 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo SantanyÃ-Ses Salines-Campos and ended on 25 October 2015 with the Tour of Aegean. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Europe Tour cycling jersey. Tom Van Asbroeck of Belgium is the defending champion of the 2014 UCI Europe Tour. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. Narvik is a town and the administrative centre of Narvik Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The town is located along the Ofotfjorden in the Ofoten region. The town lies on a peninsula located between the Rombaken fjord and the Beisfjorden. The European route E06 highway runs through the Beisfjord Bridge and HÃ¥logaland Bridge crossing the two small fjords surrounding the town. Ben Hermans (born 8 June 1986) is a Belgian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Hermans was born in Hasselt, Flanders, and he turned professional in 2009 with . Hermans left at the end of the 2013 season, and joined the for the 2014 season. In April 2015, he won the Belgian classic Brabantse Pijl with a late attack and resisted to the return of the peloton by a few seconds to cross the line solo. Målselv ( sme, Málatvuomi suohkan) is a municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Moen. Senja (island)
or is an island in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway, Europe. With an area of , it is the second largest island in Norway (outside of the Svalbard archipelago). It has a wild, mountainous outer (western) side facing the Atlantic, and a mild and lush inner (eastern) side. Sam Bennett (born 16 October 1990) is an Irish professional cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam . He is a road sprinter who turned professional in 2011.
