2014–2016 ICC Women's Championship
The 2014–2016 ICC Women's Championship was the first edition of the ICC Women's Championship, a women's One Day International cricket (WODI) competition contested by eight teams. The top four teams at the conclusion of the tournament (Australia women's national cricket team, Australia, England women's cricket team, England, New Zealand women's national cricket team, New Zealand and West Indies women's cricket team, West Indies) gained automatically qualification for the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup, 2017 World Cup. The bottom four teams (India women's national cricket team, India, South Africa women's national cricket team, South Africa, Pakistan women's national cricket team, Pakistan and Sri Lanka women's national cricket team, Sri Lanka) faced six qualifying teams in the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier, 2017 World Cup Qualifier for the remaining four places at the World Cup. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the world governing body of cricket.
