2014–15 St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers men's basketball team represented St. Francis College during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Terrier's home games were played at the Generoso Pope Athletic Complex. They also hosted one home game at Madison Square Garden, defeating Central Connecticut in the second game of a double header that saw St. John's defeat Marquette. The team has been a member of the Northeast Conference since 1981. St. Francis Brooklyn was coached by Glenn Braica, who was in his fifth year at the helm of the Terriers and has made the NEC Tournament each year. The Terriers, for the first time in the program's history, were selected as the preseason 2014–15 NEC favorites by league head coaches. The program was also selected to participate in the 3rd annual 2014 Barclays Center Classic and faced Rutgers, LaSalle, Norfolk State and Tennessee State. Glenn Braica
Glenn Braica (born September 16, 1964) is the men's basketball head coach at St. Francis College since 2010. Braica was born in Brooklyn, New York and is an alumnus of Bishop Ford High School and Queens College. Braica began his head coaching career at St. Francis College in 2010 and had 22 years of coaching experience at the time split between New York City Tech, St. Francis and St. John's as an assistant coach. Biography Braica attended St. Agnes High School from 1980–82 and Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School, Bishop Ford in Brooklyn from 1982–84. Braica went on to Queens College, City University of New York, Queens College and played for the Knights from 1984–88 as a point guard. Keflavík Men's Basketball
The Keflavík men's basketball team, commonly known as Keflavík, is the men's professional basketball department of Keflavík ÍF (Keflavík, íþrótta- og ungmennafélag), based in the town of Reykjanesbær in Iceland. They currently play in Úrvalsdeild karla. Rivalry with Njarðvík Keflavík's biggest rivals are their closest neighbours, Njarðvík. The teams are both based in Reykjanesbær. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. Chris Hooper (basketball)
Chris Hooper (born December 24, 1991) is an American basketball player from Harlem, New York playing in the La Liga Argentina League. Early life Hooper attended Arturo A. Schomburg Satellite Academy in the Bronx. During his senior year at Satellite Academy, he averaged 12.3 points and 11.3 rebounds. After graduating from high school, he played one season at both Kaskaskia College in Illinois and at Odessa College in Texas. While at Kaskaskia, Hooper averaged 11.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game and helped lead the squad to a 20–11 record. At Odessa, he contributed 6.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Gunnar Ólafsson (born 9 June 1993) is an Icelandic basketball player for Fryshuset Basket in the Swedish Basketball League and the Icelandic men's national basketball team.
