2014–15 Sporting De Gijón Season
The 2014–15 Sporting de Gijón season was the third season that the club will play in Segunda División after the relegation from the highest tier of football in Spain, La Liga. Sporting finished as runner-up and promoted to the top tier. Season overview Preseason Despite not promoting to La Liga, head coach Abelardo Fernández extended his contract for two seasons. Sporting started the preseason on July 17 and played nine friendly games, two of them in a 45-minute game format. On July 22, Carlos Carmona extended his contract until 2019. One day later, Sporting finished its first friendly defeating Marino de Luanco by 1–0 in a game without new signings and several players of the reserve team. Preseason ended with a no-goals draw with Getafe in the Trofeo Villa de Gijón. Finally, Sporting won its tournament six years later. Real Sporting de Gijón, S.A.D. (), commonly known as Real Sporting, Sporting Gijón, or simply Sporting (although in an international context this can lead to confusion with Sporting Clube de Portugal) is a Spanish football club from Gijón, Principality of Asturias. Founded on 1 July 1905, it plays in La Liga Santander. Stefan Šćepović ( sr-cyr, Стефан Шћеповић, ; born 10 January 1990) is a Serbian footballer who plays as a striker for Brisbane Roar in the A-League. Vujadin Boškov
Vujadin Boškov ( sr-cyr, Вујадин Бошков, ; 16 May 1931 – 27 April 2014) was a Serbian footballer and manager. A midfielder, he played 57 matches for the Yugoslav national team. He experienced his greatest success as a coach in 1990, when he won the European Cup Winners' Cup with Sampdoria. He also reached the European Cup final in 1981 with Real Madrid and 1992 with Sampdoria. Estadio Municipal de Anduva is a stadium in Miranda de Ebro, Spain. It has a capacity of 5,759 spectators and opened on 22 January 1950. It is the home of CD Mirandés of the Segunda División. History The first game on the stadium was played on 22 December 1949. It was one month before the official opening of the stadium. It also held other sporting events, most notably the friendly under-21 match between Spain and Poland (0–1) on 28 February 2006. On 2 September 2010 the City Council provided €417,000 for the building of a new southern stand in the stadium. David Juncà Reñe (born 16 November 1993) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Polish club Wisła Kraków.
