2014–15 Premier League International Cup
The 2014–15 Premier League International Cup was the inaugural season of the Premier League International Cup, a European club football competition organised by the Premier League for under-21 players. Qualification For English sides qualification was via performance in the 2013–14 Barclays Under 21 Premier League with the top eight sides qualifying for the competition. Liverpool U21s and Manchester United U21s did not take up the opportunity to enter the competition and they were replaced with West Ham U21s and Norwich City U21s who finished 9th and 10th respectively. Entry of European teams was by invitation and was influenced by the quality of each club's academy. Group stage Group-stage matches were played between 15 October 2014 and 31 January 2015. Academy Stadium
Academy Stadium is a football stadium in Manchester, England, forming part of the Etihad Campus. Announced on 19 September 2011 as part of an 80-acre training facility to cater for around 400 youth players at a time, the campus was opened on 8 December 2014. The stadium, known simply as Academy Stadium, was inaugurated by students of Manchester Metropolitan University, who played the official first games on the pitch on 14 December 2014. The stadium is the home stadium of the Elite Development Squad and other senior academy teams, and also of Manchester City Women. Although not the biggest building of the facility the stadium still features numerous facilities more common to larger stadia, including a press room, board room, offices and retail space. Isaiah Jay Brown (born 7 January 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder and is currently a free agent. He represented the England national under-20 team. Carlton John Morris (born 16 December 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Championship club Luton Town. Aldershot () is a town in Hampshire, England. It lies on heathland in the extreme northeast corner of the county, southwest of London. The area is administered by Rushmoor Borough Council. The Recreation Ground, currently known as The EBB Stadium at The Recreation Ground for sponsorship reasons and informally known as The Rec, is a football ground in Aldershot, Hampshire, England. Football matches have been played there since 1927 when Aldershot (later reformed as Aldershot Town) was founded. The ground hosted league football between 1932 and 1992 when Aldershot were members of the Football League.
