2014–15 Men's FIH Hockey World League Final
The 2014–15 Men's FIH Hockey World League Final took place from 27 November to 6 December 2015 in Raipur, India. A total of 8 teams competed for the title. Australia won the tournament for the first time after defeating Belgium 2–1 in the final match. Host nation India won the third place match by defeating the Netherlands 3–2 on a penalty shootout after a 5–5 draw. Qualification The host nation qualified automatically in addition to 7 teams qualified from the Semifinals. The following eight teams, shown with final pre-tournament rankings, competed in this round of the tournament. 2014–15 Men's FIH Hockey World League
The 2014–15 Men's FIH Hockey World League was the second season of the men's field hockey national team league series. The tournament started in July 2014 in Sveti Ivan Zelina, Croatia and finished in December 2015 in Raipur, India. The Semifinals of this competition also served as a qualifier for the 2016 Summer Olympics as the 6 highest placed teams apart from the host nation and the five continental champions qualified. Australia won the tournament's Final round for the first time after defeating Belgium 2–1 in the final match. Nicholas Catlin
Nicholas Andrew "Nick" Catlin (born 8 April 1989) is an English field hockey player who plays as a midfielder. Catlin is from Marlow, and attended John Hampden Grammar School. Club career Catlin has played club hockey in England for Holcombe, Reading, Loughborough Students and East Grinstead. He also played for Racing Bruxelles in Belgium. He joined Rotterdam in the Dutch Hoofdklasse in 2017. After one season he left Rotterdam and he returned to Belgium to play for Beerschot. Ian Martin Sloan (born 19 November 1993) is an Irish field hockey player, who plays as a midfielder for Wimbledon and the England and Great Britain national teams. He represented Great Britain at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Sloan was a member of the England teams that won the bronze medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and at the 2017 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship. Christopher Douglas John Grassick (born 3 November 1990) is a retired Scottish international field hockey player who played as a midfielder for Scotland and Great Britain. Grassick announced his retirement from playing hockey, due to injury, on 27 September 2019. He played club hockey in the Men's England Hockey League Premier Division for Surbiton. Henry Weir
William Henry Weir (born 13 February 1990) is an English field hockey player who plays as a defender for Old Georgians and ex England and Great Britain national teams. He may have graduated from Loughborough College with a degree in sports coaching. He is married to Racheal Weir with one daughter, Rose. Smaller than the average man, with a pan Asian linerage, became the judo champion of Wales in 2004. Matthew Gohdes (born 18 May 1990) is an Australian field hockey player. He plays for the Queensland Blades in the Australian Hockey League. He made his debut for the Australia men's national field hockey team in 2009 during a five-game test series in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Jeremy Thomas Hayward (born 3 March 1993) is an Australian field hockey player. Hayward was part of the Australian team who won the 2014 Men's Hockey World Cup. Thomas Briels (born 23 August 1987) is a Belgian field hockey player who plays as a forward for Dutch Hoofdklasse club Oranje-Rood. He played a total of 359 times for the Belgium national team from 2006 until 2021. Club career Briels started playing at Dragons when he was around five years old.
