2014–15 Ligue 1 (Senegal)
The 2014-15 Ligue 1 season was the 52nd of the competition of the first-tier football in Senegal and the seventh professional season. The tournament was organized by the Senegalese Football Federation. The season began earlier on 6 December and finished later on 26 July. It was the seventh season labelled as a "League" ("Ligue" in French). AS Douanes won their sixth and recent title and qualified into the 2016 CAF Champions League. Génération Foot, winner of the 2015 Senegalese Cup qualified for the first time in the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup the following season. The season featured 14 clubs, of which five were outside the Dakar area, though SUNEOR Diourbel played in Dakar, every club that participated were in the western third of Senegal, It also had 182 matches and fewer goals which numbered 348, four higher than last season. Senegal Premier League
Senegal Premier League is the top division of the Senegal Football Association, it was founded in 1966. The league also hosts a domestic cup, the Coupe de la Ligue. US Ouakam
Union Sportive Ouakam (estimate Wolof form: ''Wakaam''), abbreviation: USO is a Senegalese football (soccer), football club based in Dakar in the subdivision of Ouakam in the west of the city close to Cap-Vert, Cap Vert. They play in the top division in Senegalese football. Their home stadium is Stade Demba Diop. History The club was founded in the 1951 by el Hadji Moussa Diagne in the last decade of French rule in Senegal. After independence, Ouakam was becoming one of the top clubs in Senegal in the 1960s. Ouakam was suspended in the 1962-63 season and played in the second tier competition for some time which was the lowest level in Senegal before returning to top flight competition again. The last time Ouakam played in second tier competitions was in 2003. Ouakam win their first cup title in 1964, their second in 1989 and their recent in 2006. Ngor
Ngor or Ngor Éwam Chöden (, ) is the name of a monastery in the Ü-Tsang province of Tibet about southwest of Shigatse and is the Sakya school's second most important gompa. It is the main temple of the large Ngor school of Vajrayana Buddhism, which represents eighty-five percent of the Sakya school. History The origins of the Ngor school go back to Ngorchen Kunga Sangpo (also Kunga Zangpo or Kun dga 'bzang po, ) (1382-1444 CE), who was born and educated at Sakya and founded this monastery in 1429. It was renowned for its rich library of Sanskrit texts and magnificent 15th-century Newar-derived paintings. Touré Kounda Foot Pro
Touré is the French transcription of a West African surname (English transcriptions are ''Turay'' and ''Touray''). The name is probably derived from ''tùùré'', the word for 'elephant' in Soninké, the language of the Ghana Empire. Saint Louis or Saint-Louis ( wo, Ndar), is the capital of Senegal's Saint-Louis Region. Located in the northwest of Senegal, near the mouth of the Senegal River, and 320 km north of Senegal's capital city Dakar, it has a population officially estimated at 258,592 in 2021. Saint-Louis was the capital of the French colony of Senegal from 1673 until 1902 and French West Africa from 1895 until 1902, when the capital was moved to Dakar. Guédiawaye is a town and ''département'' of the Dakar Region of Senegal. Lying on the Atlantic Ocean to the north east of Dakar city centre, in 2013 it had a population of 329,659. Saly Portudal
Saly (also called Sali or Saly Portudal) is a seaside resort area in Thiès Region on the Petite Côte of Senegal, south of Dakar. It is the top tourist destination in all of West Africa and has the status of a commune. History Saly was originally a Portuguese trading post known as ''Porto de Ale'', which became ''Portudal'', and later ''Sali Portudal''. On February 24, 1984, the resort was created on a previously unoccupied tract of land near the former trading post. It was about this time that tourism began to take off in Senegal. Ziguinchor (; wo, Siggcoor ; ar, زيغينكور) is the capital of the Ziguinchor Region, and the chief town of the Casamance area of Senegal, lying at the mouth of the Casamance River.
