2014–15 Ligue 1 (Ivory Coast)
The 2014–15 Ligue 1 is the 56th season of top-tier football in Côte d'Ivoire. The season began on 28 November 2014. AS Tanda won their first league title, holding off ASEC Mimosas on the final day of the season. Entering with a one-point lead in the standings, Tanda defeated CO Korhogo 2–1 at home to clinch the title even though ASEC got a 0–1 road win at Sporting Gagnoa to keep the pressure on. The league comprised 14 teams, the bottom two of which will be relegated to the 2016 Ligue 2. Bouaké and Stella each entered the final day of the season needing a win and to make up a large goal differential to avoid relegation, but both suffered road losses to seal their fate. The 2015–16 Ligue 1 is the 57th season of top-tier football in Côte d'Ivoire. The season began on 28 November 2015. AS Tanda defended their first league title, holding off Séwé Sport by going unbeaten in their last eight matches. The league comprised 14 teams, the bottom two of which, Korhogo and Yopougon, were relegated to the 2017 Ligue 2. Teams A total of 14 teams will contest the league, including 12 sides from the 2014–15 season and two promoted from the 2014–15 Ligue 2, Moossou FC and Yopougon FC. On the other hand, Bouaké FC and Stella Club d'Adjamé were the last two teams of the 2014–15 season and will play in Ligue 2 for the 2015-16 season. Yamoussoukro (; , locally ) is the ''de jure'' capital of Ivory Coast and an autonomous district. As of the 2014 census, Yamoussoukro is the fifth most populous city in Ivory Coast with a population of 212,670. Located north-west of Abidjan, the district of Yamoussoukro covers among rolling hills and plains. Bouaké
Bouaké (or Bwake, N’ko: ߓߐ߰ߞߍ߫ ''Bɔ̀ɔkɛ́'') is the second-largest city in Ivory Coast, with a population of 740,000 (2021 census). It is the seat of three levels of subdivision— Vallée du Bandama District, Gbêkê Region, and Bouaké Department. The city is located in the central part of Ivory Coast about northeast of Lake Kossou, the country's largest lake. It is approximately north of Abidjan on the Abidjan-Niger Railway and about northeast of Yamoussoukro, the capital of the country. Abengourou
Abengourou is a city in eastern Côte d'Ivoire. It is the seat of both Comoé District and Indénié-Djuablin Region. It is also a commune and the seat of and a sub-prefecture of Abengourou Department. Abengourou is primarily populated by the Anyi ethnic group, a branch of the Akan people who migrated to the region from Ghana. In the 2021 census, the population of the sub-prefecture of Abengourou was 164,424. The city is served by Abengourou Airport. There is also the interior's largest hospital. There is an agricultural vocational training institute, along with a research station that specializes in the local crops of cocoa and coffee.
