2014–15 Football League (Greece)
The 2014–15 Football League is the second division of the Greek professional football system and the fifth season under the name Football League after previously being known as ''Beta Ethniki''. This is the second season since 1982–83, and the third season overall, that the league has more than one group. The groups are created based on geographical criteria. Notes Doxa Drama and Aris withdrew from the league before the North Group draw. As a result of this the group left with only 12 teams and Fokikos moved from the South Group to the North Group. North Group In the North Group, as well as in the South Group, the top three teams of each group will qualify for a playoff round, to determine which two teams will be promoted to the Super League. The bottom three teams of each group will be relegated. The Football League ( el, Φούτμπολ Λιγκ) was the second highest professional football league in Greece since its inception in 1962 as ''Beta Ethniki'' and until 2019. It then served as a third tier after the creation of the Super League 2 as the new second tier and it was eventually abolished in 2021 when the 2021–22 Super League 2 went from a 12 team to a 36 team league, absorbing most of the clubs from the Football League. Evosmos
Evosmos ( el, Εύοσμος, ''Évosmos''; before 1955: ''Neos Koukloutzas'' (Νέος Κουκλουτζάς, ''Néos Koukloutzás'')) is a suburb of the Thessaloniki Urban Area and was a former municipality in the regional unit of Thessaloniki, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kordelio-Evosmos, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. It has a land area of and its population is 74,686 (2011 census). Due to rapid development, the population has been growing fast. Most of the new development is taking place in the northern district of the municipality called Nea Politeia (New Town). AEL FC Arena is a football stadium in Larissa, Greece, with a current seating capacity of 16,118. Since its completion in 2010 and for 8 seasons, it has been the home ground of AΕL. Owner of the ground is Gipedo Larissa A.E. The stadium was developed in a total of 144,000 square meters in the Mezourlo Hill, district of Neapolis, Larissa. Construction of the stadium started in September 2009 and was completed in November 2010. According to UEFA stadium categories, AEL FC Arena is rated as category three of four, (renamed from elite) in ascending ranking order.
