Family Channel (commonly known as Family) is a Canadian English-language specialty channel owned by WildBrain. The network primarily airs children's television series, Teen drama, teen dramas, as well as other programming targeting a family audience. YTV (Canadian TV Channel)
YTV is a Canadian English language specialty channel owned by YTV Canada, Inc., a subsidiary of Corus Entertainment. The channel and its programming is targeted at children and young teenagers; its name was originally thought to be an abbreviation for "Youth Television", though the channel's website has denied this. The channel was launched on September 1, 1988 by owners Rogers Media and CUC Broadcasting upon launch. In 1995, Shaw Communications acquired CUC's 34% stake and in 1998, it acquired Rogers' remaining interest of the channel, before Shaw's media division was spun off to form Corus Entertainment in 1999. ''Numb Chucks'' is a Canadian animated television series that was created by Phil LaFrance and Jamie LeClaire and premiered on YTV in Canada on January 7, 2014. The series was focused on Dilweed and Fungus, two woodchucks with big hearts, who are obsessed with using their bungling kung-fu skills to protect the lives of the citizens in their town of Ding-a-Ling Springs. The series was cancelled, and its final episode aired on December 1, 2016, after a total of 52 episodes were produced. Plot Before one night changed their lives, woodchuck brothers Dilweed and Fungus never saw themselves as heroes. But during a late-night-TV infomercial, they ordered a Woodchuck Morris kung-fu video. ''The Best Laid Plans'' is a Canadian comedy-drama miniseries based on the Stephen Leacock Award-winning 2008 novel of the same name by Terry Fallis. The series stars Jonas Chernick as Daniel Addison, a disillusioned political staffer in the office of Opposition Leader George Quimby (Mark McKinney) who is forced to run a local candidate's campaign during a federal election. The Buffalo Sabres are a professional ice hockey team based in Buffalo, New York.
