2014 U.S. Figure Skating Championships
The 2014 U.S. Figure Skating Championships were the national figure skating championships of the United States for the 2013–14 season. The event was held in Boston, Massachusetts on January 5–12, 2014. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing at the senior, junior, novice, intermediate and juvenile levels. The results were part of the U.S. selection criteria for the 2014 Winter Olympics, 2014 World Championships, 2014 World Junior Championships, and 2014 Four Continents Championships. Overview The 2014 event was the 100th anniversary of the U.S. Championships and the seventh time that Boston had hosted the competition. 2013–14 Figure Skating Season
The 2013–14 figure skating season began on July 1, 2013, and ended on June 30, 2014. During this season, elite skaters competed at the Olympic level in the 2014 Winter Olympics and at the ISU Championship level in the 2014 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships. Max Settlage
Max Settlage (born July 1, 1992) is an American former pair skater. With former partner Madeline Aaron, he is the 2014 CS U.S. Classic bronze medalist, a two-time U.S. national pewter medalist (2015–2016), and the 2014 U.S. national junior champion. Personal life Max Settlage was born on July 1, 1992 in Thừa Thiên–Huế Province, Vietnam. After being adopted, he was raised in Flagstaff, Arizona. He is a cartoonist, who has done illustrations for U.S. Figure Skating. Career Settlage began skating at age ten. His first pair skating partner was Caitlin Fields. In the 2007–08 season, they won the juvenile silver medal at the U.S. Junior Championships and the intermediate silver medal in the 2008-09 season. Caroline Green (born October 3, 2003) is an American ice dancer. With her skating partner, Michael Parsons, she is the 2022 Four Continents champion, a four-time medalist on the ISU Challenger Series, and a three-time U.S. national medalist. With her brother and former skating partner Gordon Green, she placed in the top six at the 2018 World Junior Championships and won the 2019 U.S. national junior title.
