2014 Torneo Federal A
The 2014 season was the first season of the Torneo Federal A, third division professional of football in Argentina. For this season, AFA decided to change the structure in the Argentine football league system, so 21 teams were invited by the ''Consejo Federal'' and 17 accepted the invitation and exceptionally 7 teams were promoted to the next season of Primera B Nacional and there were no relegations for this season. A total of 40 teams competed. Reestructuring Invitations Format First stage The teams were divided into five zones with eight teams (a total of 40 teams) in each zone and it was played in a round-robin tournament. The team placed first of each zone was automatically promoted to Primera B Nacional, the teams placed 2º to 4º and the best 5º team from the five zones qualified for the Second Stage. Torneo Federal A
The Torneo Federal A (in English "Federal A Tournament") is one of the two professional leagues that form the regionalised third level of the Argentine football league system, along with Primera B Metropolitana. The competition was established in 2014 as a result of a change in the structure of the league system, replacing Torneo Argentino A. Federal A is organised by "Consejo Federal", a division of the Argentine Football Association. Clubs in Federal A have indirect membership in AFA unlike clubs in Primera B, which have direct membership. All teams with indirect membership are from outside the city of Buenos Aires (playing in regional leagues) and its metropolitan area (Greater Buenos Aires), while most of the direct members are from the aforementioned area. Club Atlético Independiente (Chivilcoy)
() is an Argentine professional sports club, which has its headquarters and stadium in Avellaneda, a city of the Buenos Aires Province. The club is best known for its football team, which plays in the Primera División and is considered one of Argentina's ''Big Five'' football clubs. Textil Mandiyú
Club Social y Deportivo Textil Mandiyú, commonly referred as Textil Mandiyú was an Argentine football club, based in Corrientes, in the Province of the same name. The squad currently plays in the regionalised third tier of Argentine football league system, the Torneo Federal A. History In 1993, Deportivo Mandiyú chairman Eduardo Seferian tried the club to become a S.A. as a way to solve the serious economic problems of the institution but the Argentine Football Association did not allow the transaction. Nevertheless, in 1994 member of Argentine Parliament Roberto Cruz and San Lorenzo leading Roberto Navarro acquired the club for U$S 2 million. Corrientes Province

Resistencia, Chaco
Resistencia () is the capital and largest city of the province of Chaco in north-eastern Argentina. According to the 2010 census, the population of the city proper was 291,720 inhabitants. It is the anchor of a larger metropolitan area, Greater Resistencia, which comprises at least three more municipalities for a total population of 387,340 as of 2010. Club Atlético Sarmiento is an Argentine sports club based in the city of Resistencia in Chaco Province. Although many sports are hosted at the club, Sarmiento is mostly known for its football team, which currently plays in Torneo Argentino B, the regionalised fourth level of the Argentine football league system. Sarmiento played one season at the highest level of Argentine football, in the Torneo Nacional of 1977. Sarmiento finished 6th out of 8 teams in group C.
