The 2014 Tiburon Challenger was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the eighth edition of the tournament which was part of the 2014 ATP Challenger Tour. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Carsten Thomas Ball (born 20 June 1987) is an American-Australian retired professional tennis player. Although born and based in the United States, Carsten has represented Australia on tour. Tennis career Carsten Ball was born in Newport Beach, California. His father, Syd Ball, was also a tour tennis player. As a junior tennis player he reached a career high of number 9 in the world. Marcos Andres Giron (born July 24, 1993; ) is an American professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of No. 49 on 16 May 2022 and a doubles ranking of No. 194 on August 1, 2022. Dennis Novikov
Dennis Novikov (born 6 November 1993 in Moscow, Russia) is an American professional tennis player born in Russia. He won both the singles and doubles titles at the USTA Boys 18s National Championships in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2012. Jared Donaldson (born October 9, 1996) is a former American professional tennis player from Glocester, Rhode Island. Donaldson was the only American to qualify for the inaugural Next Generation ATP Finals at the end of 2017 as the fifth seed. Bjorn Fratangelo ( ; born July 19, 1993) is a professional American tennis player. He won the boys' singles title at the 2011 French Open defeating Dominic Thiem. Fratangelo is only the second American out of three to win the event, following John McEnroe in 1977 and preceding Tommy Paul in 2015.
