2014 Super Formula Season
The 2014 Japanese Championship Super Formula season was the forty-second season of the premier series in Japanese open-wheel motor racing, and the second under the name of Super Formula. 2014 was also the first season using the new chassis, the Dallara SF14, which replaced the Swift SF09 used in previous seasons. The season began on 13 April and ended on 9 November after seven rounds. 2012 champion Kazuki Nakajima claimed his second title in three seasons, after a consistent campaign, in which he scored points in each of the nine races to be held. Nakajima won races at Fuji and Suzuka as the TOM'S driver won the championship by 6.5 points, ahead of Impul's João Paulo de Oliveira. Dallara
Dallara is an Italian race car manufacturer, founded by its current President, Gian Paolo Dallara. After working for Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and De Tomaso, in 1972 in his native village of Varano de' Melegari (Parma), Italy he created "Dallara Automobili". Dallara is also the sole manufacturer of racing cars for the IndyCar Series, Indy Lights, Formula 2, Formula 3 and Super Formula Championships. Dallara produces cars for endurance races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona. Vitantonio Liuzzi
Vitantonio "Tonio" Liuzzi (born 6 August 1980) is an Italian professional racing driver who formerly raced in Formula One for the Red Bull, Toro Rosso, Force India and HRT teams. Karting Born in Locorotondo, BA, Apulia, Liuzzi, like many auto racing drivers, began his career in kart racing (at age 9). He won the 1993 Italian Karting Championship, and in 1995 took second in the Karting World Championship and placed fifth in the European Championship. He won the Karting World Championship in 2001. Koudai Tsukakoshi
is a Japanese racing driver. Career Formula Three After competing in Formula Dream in 2004, Tsukakoshi moved into the All-Japan Formula Three Championship for the 2005 campaign. Competing for M Tec, Tsukakoshi finished his first season in fourteenth position. He moved to Honda Team Mugen for the 2006 season, finishing fifth in the standings, taking a victory at Suzuka. Another fifth place championship finish followed in 2007, as Tsukakoshi took two wins for Honda Team Real at Okayama and Suzuka. He also finished in second place at the prestigious Macau Grand Prix for Manor Motorsport; finishing behind Oliver Jarvis. Ryō Hirakawa
is a Japanese racing driver who is currently competing for Toyota Gazoo Racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship and Japanese Super Formula Championship. He won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Hypercar World Endurance Drivers' Championship in 2022 alongside co-drivers Sébastien Buemi and Brendon Hartley. James Rossiter
James Rossiter (born 25 August 1983) is a former professional racing driver, British motorsport executive and Team Principal of Maserati MSG Racing in Formula E. Masahiko Kondō
or Matchy is a Japanese singer, lyricist, actor, racing car manager and former semi-professional racing driver. He was a member of the Tanokin Trio. Kondō is also a semi-professional racing driver and a racing team owner. He founded the racing team ''Kondo Racing'' in 2000, which currently competes in both Super Formula and Super GT. Naoki Yamamoto (racing Driver)
is a Japanese racing driver for Honda Racing Corporation, currently driving in the Autobacs Super GT Series with Team Kunimitsu, and the Japanese Super Formula Championship with Nakajima Racing. He is a three-time champion in Super Formula, and a two-time champion in the GT500 class of Super GT.
