The 2014 Sparta Prague Open was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the fifth edition of the Sparta Prague Open, tournament and part of the 2014 ITF Women's Circuit, offering a total of $100,000+H in prize money. ITF Women's Circuit
The ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, previously known as the ITF Women's Circuit, is a series of professional tennis tournaments run by the International Tennis Federation for female professional tennis players. History It serves as a developmental circuit for the WTA Tour, which is run by the independent Women's Tennis Association (WTA). There are several hundred ITF Women's Circuit tournaments each year, spread across all six inhabited continents, with prize money ranging from US$15,000 to US$100,000. Players who succeed on the ITF Women's Circuit earn sufficient points to be eligible for qualifying draw or main draw entry to WTA tournaments. Until 2011 the ITF Women's Circuit was the level immediately below the main WTA Tour, but in 2012 the WTA introduced an intermediate level, the WTA 125K series. Dinah Pfizenmaier (born 13 January 1992) is a German former tennis player. Pfizenmaier won nine singles and two doubles titles on the ITF Circuit in her career. On 17 March 2014, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 79. On 2 February 2015, she peaked at No. 245 in the doubles rankings. Professional career 2012 Pfizenmaier made her Grand Slam debut at the 2012 French Open. She qualified for the main draw by defeating Kristýna Plíšková, Misaki Doi and Monica Puig. Clay is a type of fine-grained natural soil material containing clay minerals (hydrous aluminium phyllosilicates, e.g. kaolin, Al2 Si2 O5( OH)4). WTA Prague Open
The Prague Open (currently branded as the Livesport Prague Open for sponsorship reasons) is a professional women's tennis tournament held in Prague, Czech Republic. It began in 2010, initially as an ITF Circuit $50,000 event upgraded to $100,000. Subsequently, from 2015 onwards it became a WTA International tournament and the prize money increased to $250,000. The tournament is played on outdoor hard courts, at the TK Sparta Praha. Prior to 2021, the tournament was held on outdoor clay courts. Lucie Šafářová and Lucie Hradecká are respectively the singles and doubles record holders of the tournament with three titles each one. Victoria Duval (born 30 November 1995) is an American professional tennis player. Duval has won one singles title and two doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. In August 2014, she reached her best singles ranking of No. 87. In 2012, she won the USTA Girls' 18s National Championships. Early life Duval was born in Miami and spent some of her childhood in Haiti, including time training at the JOTAC Tennis Academy in Port-au-Prince. Madison Brengle (born April 3, 1990) is an American professional tennis player. Her biggest success she had in early 2015, reaching her first WTA Tour final in January, followed by a fourth round major event appearance at the Australian Open. In May, she reached her career-high singles ranking of No. 35. Her greatest victory came in 2017 over world No. 2, Serena Williams.
