2014 Skate Canada International
The 2014 Skate Canada International was the second event of six in the 2014–15 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Prospera Place in Kelowna, British Columbia on October 31 – November 2. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The junior-level equivalent is the ISU Junior Grand Prix. 2014–15 ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The 2014–15 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating is a series of senior international figure skating competitions in the 2014–15 season. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earned points based on their placement at each event and the top six in each discipline qualified to compete at the Grand Prix Final, held in Barcelona, Spain. Organized by the International Skating Union, the Grand Prix series began in October 24 and ran until December 14, 2014. Kirsten Moore-Towers
Kirsten Moore-Towers (born July 1, 1992) is a Canadian retired competitive pair skater who competed internationally at the senior level for thirteen seasons from 2009 to 2022. She first achieved distinction partnered with Dylan Moscovitch, winning the 2011 Canadian national title. The two won silver at the 2013 Four Continents Championships, as well as seven medals on the ISU Grand Prix, qualifying to three Grand Prix Finals and finishing fourth at two consecutive World Championships. As part of the Canadian team at the 2014 Winter Olympics, Moore-Towers/Moscovitch won an Olympic silver medal in the figure skating team event. Joshua Reagan
Joshua Reagan (born November 5, 1989) is an American pair skater. Competing for Canada with Brittany Jones, he is the 2016 U.S. International Classic champion. Earlier in his career, he represented the United States with Ashley Cain. They became the 2011 U.S. Junior champions and placed fourth at the 2011 World Junior Championships. Personal life His father is an ophthalmologist who lives in Dallas, Texas. Josh currently lives in Toronto, Ontario. Reagan and Jones retired from skating in July 2017. Brittany Jones
Brittany Jones (born January 18, 1996) is a Canadian former pair skater. With Joshua Reagan, she is the 2016 U.S. International Classic champion. She finished in the top six at three World Junior Championships with earlier partners. Career Jones teamed up with Kurtis Gaskell around 2008. They placed sixth at the 2011 World Junior Championships. They split after the 2012 Canadian Championships. Jones then had a one-year partnership with Ian Beharry. The two finished sixth at the 2013 World Junior Championships. Andrei Rogozine (russian: Андрей Рогозин; born 29 January 1993) is a Canadian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2011 World Junior champion, 2010 JGP Final bronze medallist, and 2013 Canadian national bronze medallist. Personal life Andrei Rogozine was born January 29, 1993, in Moscow, Russia. His family moved to Canada when he was five. He attended Richmond Green Secondary School in Richmond Hill, Ontario. He moved to Newmarket, Ontario, in 2011 and now lives in Ottawa. Liam Firus (born July 2, 1992) is a Canadian retired figure skater. He is the 2016 Triglav Trophy champion and a three-time Canadian national medallist (silver in 2016, bronze in 2014–15). Brooklee Han (born July 6, 1995) is an American-Australian retired figure skater who represented Australia in ladies' singles. She is the 2018 CS Alpen Trophy bronze medalist, the 2013 Volvo Open Cup champion, the 2013 Australian national champion, and a five-time Australian national silver medalist (2012, 2014–2018). The 2014–15 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final was an international figure skating competition in the 2014–15 season, held together with the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final. The competition was held from December 11 to 14, 2014 in Barcelona, Spain — the first time it took place on the Iberian Peninsula.
