2014 SIU Edwardsville Cougars Men's Soccer Team
The 2014 SIU Edwardsville Cougars men's soccer team represented Southern Illinois University Edwardsville during the 2014 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The Cougars were coached in 2014 by co-head coaches Brian Jones and David Korn. The team played their home games on Bob Guelker Field at the Ralph Korte Stadium as an affiliate member of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). Preseason Fourteen players returned from the 8-9-2 team of 2013, including two first team All-Missouri Valley Conference performers: forward Christian Volesky and defender Matt Polster; All-MVC Honorable Mention defender Justin Bilyeu; and MVC All-Freshmen defenders Andrew Kendall-Moulin and Austin Ledbetter . Ralph Korte Stadium
Ralph Korte Stadium, also known as "The Ralph", is a 4,000 seat stadium located on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, Illinois. It is home to the SIUE Cougars men's and women's soccer and outdoor track & field teams. In addition to the stands on the west side of the field, a berm was put in on the east side in 2011 to provide lawn seating for the tailgating fans known as "The East Siders." Construction The stadium was constructed on university property surrounding the existing "Bob Guelker Field" in 1993–94 by the City of Edwardsville as a site to host the 1994 U.S. Olympic Festival. NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship
The NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament, sometimes known as the College Cup, is an American intercollegiate soccer tournament conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and determines the Division I men's national champion. The tournament has been formally held since 1959, when it was an eight-team tournament. Since then, the tournament has expanded to 48 teams, in which every Division I conference tournament champion is allocated a berth. Among the most successful programs, Saint Louis won 10 titles during dynasty years between 1959 and 1973. Belleville High School East is a public high school in Belleville, Illinois, United States. It is part of Belleville Township High School District. It was established in 1966. History Prior to 1966, Belleville Township School District operated only one school, Belleville Township High School, which was the old Belleville West campus (a new campus has since been built). The growth of the district prompted the local board of education to construct a new campus and divide the student body between the two schools. The new campus was built in a college format with many different buildings. Millstadt is a village in St. Clair County, Illinois, United States, located at the crossing of Illinois Routes 163 (locally, "Jefferson Avenue") and 158 (locally, "Washington Avenue"). NCAA Division II (D-II) is an intermediate-level division of competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Kevin Kalish
Kevin Kalish is an American soccer coach and former player who, as of 2018, was serving as head coach of the Saint Louis Billikens men's soccer team. He played professionally in the National Professional Soccer League. Youth In 1995, Kalish graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas-Mercy High School. During his four-year prep soccer career, Kalish was three-time All State as Aquinas-Mercy won the 1992 and 1993 State Champions. His senior season, he was the MVP of the Midwest Championship and a Parade Magazine High School All American.
