The 2014 Qatar Open (also known as 2014 Qatar ExxonMobil Open for sponsorship reasons) was a men's tennis tournament that was played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 22nd edition of the Qatar Open, and part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the 2014 ATP World Tour. It took place at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar, from December 30, 2013, to January 5, 2014. The ATP 250 tournaments (previously known as the ''ATP World Tour 250'' tournaments, ''ATP International Series'', and ''ATP World Series'') are the lowest tier of annual men's tennis tournaments on the main ATP Tour, after the four Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam tournaments, ATP Finals, ATP Tour Masters 1000, ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and ATP 500 tournaments. Ernests Gulbis (, born 30 August 1988, nicknamed "Lord", "The Gull" or "Ernie") is a Latvian professional tennis player.
