2014 Prime League
The 2014 Prime League was the 17th season since the establishment of the Prime League, the reserve league of the top-tier S.League. The league is also known as the Great Eastern YEO'S Prime League due to sponsorship reasons. The season started on 1 March, and finished on 26 October. Prime League
The Prime League was the reserve and youth team soccer league of Singapore's S.League. Teams involved in the league are primarily made up of youth players from the S.League clubs. The Prime League was founded in 1997. S.League clubs are required to participate, and clubs who do not play at S.League level are also eligible to enter. In 2018, the Prime League was abolished, with the National Football League (NFL) installed as the second-tier competition. Participation rules All S.League teams had to register a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 20 players for the Prime League. Clubs not participating in the S. League had to register a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 25 players. The teams should maintain the minimum required number of players throughout the season.Each club was allowed to register 1 foreign player for their Prime League teams. National Football Academy (Singapore)
The National Football Academy, commonly referred to as NFA, is a football academy based in Jalan Besar, Singapore. It was launched by the Football Association of Singapore on 13 August 2000 with the aim of developing Singapore's most promising young footballers. Trainees are scouted through a systematic talent identification process before being given the chance to develop their skills under some of the best youth coaches in the country. With teams at every age level from U-14 to U-18, the NFA co-ordinates the development of young Singaporean footballers at a national level through the domestic league system, international youth tournaments as well as overseas training attachments. Woodlands Wellington FC
Woodlands Wellington Football Club is an inactive professional football club which played in the S.League, the top division of football in Singapore. They are based in Woodlands at the 4,300 seater Woodlands Stadium, where they have played since their establishment. Woodlands Wellington FC's honours include winning the inaugural Singapore League Cup in 2007, defeating Sengkang Punggol FC 4–0 in the final. They also finished runners-up in the Singapore FA Cup in 1997, and also in the Singapore Cup in 2005 and 2008 and won the President's Centennial Cup in 1998, a cup competition organized by the Philippine Football Federation to celebrate the centennial of Philippine Independence by defeating Hong Kong Rangers FC 2–1 in the final in Bacolod. The Singapore national under-19 football team is the national Under 19 association football team of Singapore. The team comes under the organization of the Football Association of Singapore (FAS). Players were selected from the nation's National Football Academy Under-17 & 18 and S.League's Prime League squad. Results AFC U-19 Championship History The under-19 football team was formed to represent Singapore in the AFF U-19 Youth Championship since 2001. The squad finished 3rd and won Bronze in the 2010 Singapore Youth Olympic Games. 2013 The team is currently coached by Dejan Glusevic, the best youth coach in Singapore with his emphasis on passing and movement. The Football Association of Singapore entered the team as the 'Singapore Cubs' in the 2014 Prime League in view of the 2015 Southeast Asian Games which Singapore is hosting.
