2014 President's Cup (Maldives)
The 2014 President's Cup is the 64th season of the President's Cup, a knock-out competition for Maldives' top 4 football clubs. New Radiant Sports Club are the defending champions, having beaten Maziya in last season's final in extra time. The final was held on 30 November 2014, in which New Radiant won 1-0 on extra time from a long range shot from Ali Fasir claiming a record eleventh President's Cup and winning the title for the third time in a row. Background Broadcasting rights The broadcasting rights for all the matches of 2013 Maldives President's Cup were given to the Television Maldives. New Radiant SC
New Radiant Sports Club is a Maldivian professional football club based in Henveiru – Malé, Maldives. The club was founded on 19 August 1979 by Ahmed Waheed and his friend Ahammadhanik. New Radiant has won all domestic competitions being held in the Maldives and the club is the most successful in the Maldives in terms of trophies won and is also the most successful Maldivian club in the international arena. They were semi-finalists in the AFC Cup in 2005 and the only Maldivian club to have progressed beyond group stages in the AFC cup in multiple occasions. New Radiant has won Dhivehi League/Dhivehi Premier League six times, FA cup 12 times out of 29 and have won the Maldives Cup Winners' Cup four times. Assadhulla Abdulla
Asadhulla Abdulla (born 19 October 1990) is a Maldivian footballer who plays for Maziya. International career Abdulla made his debut for the Maldives' senior team in its first match of the 2012 Nehru Cup against Nepal in the starting line-up on 23 August 2012. He was replaced by Ahmed Rasheed in the 63rd minute. Abdulla scored his first senior international goal in his debut match, giving the Maldives the lead in the 6th minute. Moosa Yaamin (born 29 December 1992) is a Maldivian footballer, who is currently playing for New Radiant. Senior career Thoddoo FC Yaamin made his debut for Thoddoo FC at the age of 17 where they lost 3–0 to Victory in a Dhivehi League match on 11 April 2010, coming in to play in the starting of the second half as a substitute. Ahmed Imaz (born 12 April 1992) is a Maldivian footballer nicknamed "''Aakko''", who is currently playing for Da Grande Sports Club. Club career Imaz signed for Club Eagles in 2011 and played three very successful seasons at the club, breaking through to the Maldives U23 and Maldives senior team in the following year. Club Eagles, formerly known as Eagles Malé, is a sports club based in Malé, Maldives. It is best known for its football team. Malé
Malé (, ; dv, މާލެ) is the capital and most populous city of the Maldives. With a population of 252,768 and an area of , it is also one of the most densely populated cities in the world.
