2014 Philippine Super Liga Season
The 2014 PSL Season was the second season of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). There were two conferences for the season – the 2014 PSL All-Filipino Conference, All-Filipino and the 2014 PSL Grand Prix Conference, Grand Prix – for both women’s and men’s division. The All-Filipino Conference was held between May 16, 2014 to July 26, 2014 with the Philippine Army Lady Troopers, Generika-Army Lady Troopers and the PLDT myDSL Speed Boosters, PLDT Home TVolution-Air Force Power Attackers emerging as champions for the Women’s and Men’s divisions, respectively. The champions of the Grand Prix Conference - the Petron Blaze Spikers (women's) and the Cignal HD Spikers (women's team), Cignal HD Spikers (men's) - will represent the Philippines in the 2015 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship, AVC Club Volleyball Championships. Aleona Denise Santiago
Aleona Denise "Dindin" Antonio Santiago-Manabat (born September 26, 1993) is a Filipino volleyball player. She played in the UAAP during her collegiate years for the NU Lady Bulldogs and started her professional career in the Philippine Super Liga as the first overall pick in the 2014 season for Petron Blaze Spikers. Personal life Santiago was born on September 26, 1993, the third of five siblings. Her brother (Axel Leonard Santiago, a former member of the men's volleyball varsity team of National University "NU Bulldogs") is currently working in PLDT and her older sister is working in Dubai, while she and her sister, Alyja Daphne "Jaja" Santiago, are both playing for various women's volleyball club teams in different leagues. Her father, Jojo Santiago, was a former basketball player of the University of Manila while her mother, Alma Antonio, is a caregiver in Israel. She is married to basketball coach Chico Manabat.
