2014 Molde FK Season
The 2014 season is Molde's seventh consecutive year in Tippeligaen, and their 38th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. It is their first season with Tor Ole Skullerud as their manager as Ole Gunnar Solskjær left the club on 2 January 2014 to join Cardiff City. Along with Tippeligaen, the club also competed in the Norwegian Cup and the Europa League were they entered in the second qualifying round. Molde Fotballklubb () is a professional football club based in Molde, Norway, that competes in Eliteserien, the top flight of Norwegian football. Founded on 19 June 1911, the club was originally known as International and changed its name to Molde in 1915. Molde are five-time league champions (2011, 2012, 2014, 2019 & 2022) and five-time Norwegian Cup winners (1994, 2005, 2013, 2014 and 2021), and have finished second in the league a further nine times. Molde is one of only two Norwegian clubs to have participated in the UEFA Champions League. The club's home matches are played at the 11,249-capacity Aker Stadion. Martin Linnes (born 20 September 1991) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Norwegian club Molde. A versatile player, he also played as a left-back, central midfielder, right midfielder and right winger. Club career Early years Linnes started his career at Sander, then joined Kongsvinger. Ørjan Nyland
Ørjan Håskjold Nyland (born 10 September 1990) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Bundesliga club RB Leipzig and the Norway national team. He has previously played for Hødd and was the man of the match in the 2012 Norwegian Football Cup Final. Nyland joined the defending Tippeligaen champions Molde ahead of the 2013 season. Björn Bergmann Sigurðarson (born 26 February 1991) is an Icelandic international footballer who plays as a forward for ÍA. He began his career with ÍA in his native Iceland before a three-year spell at Norwegian side Lillestrøm, during which time he made his international debut. Mattias Kent Moström (born 25 February 1983) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a right midfielder for SK Træff. He played most of his career for Norwegian Eliteserien club Molde. Fredrik Aasmundrud Gulbrandsen (born 10 September 1992) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Molde FK. Club career Lillestrøm Gulbrandsen began his career with his hometown club Lillestrøm. Harmeet Singh (born 12 November 1990) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Sandefjord. Club career Vålerenga Singh made his league debut under Martin Andresen in a 1–1 draw against Rosenborg BK in 2008. Daniel Berg Hestad (born 30 July 1975) is a Norwegian football manager and a former player, who played as a central midfielder, most notably for Molde. Joona Toivio (born 10 March 1988) is a Finnish footballer who plays as a defender for Veikkausliiga club HJK.
