2014 Malaysia FAM League
The 2014 Malaysia FAM League (referred to as the FAM League) is the 62nd season of the Malaysia FAM League since its establishment in 1952. The league is currently the third level football league in Malaysia. Penang are the defending champions and currently play in the second level of Malaysian football, Malaysia Premier League. Kuantan FA won the league with two matches to spare, their first title in their 2-year FAM League participation, after a 1-1 draw with MOF F.C. on 20 June 2014, while Kuala Lumpur FA clinched second place with one match to spare, after a 2-1 win over Perak YBU F.C. on 25 June 2014. Both teams gain promotion to 2015 Malaysia Premier League as a result. Teams The following teams will be participate in the 2014 Malaysia FAM League. 2013 Malaysia FAM League
The 2013 Malaysia FAM League (referred to as the FAM League) is the 61st season of the FAM League since its establishment in 1952. The league is currently the third level football league in Malaysia. The season began on 17 February 2013. Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam FC are the defending champions, having won their first league title the previous season. Penang won the league for the 5th time in the league history after beating Shahzan Muda on 2 June 2013. This is the first FAM League title Penang has won since 1957. Alor Setar
Alor Setar ( Jawi: الور ستار, Kedahan: ''Loqstaq'') is the state capital of Kedah, Malaysia. It is the second-largest city in the state after Sungai Petani and one of the most-important cities on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Penampang Stadium
Penampang ( ms, Pekan Penampang) is the capital of the Penampang District in the West Coast Division of Sabah, Malaysia. Its population was estimated to be around 93,616 in 2010, with ethnic Kadazan as the majority. It contains, or is synonymous with, Donggongon, which as of 2007, it has a population of 78,086. The town has virtually become a suburb of Kota Kinabalu and considered as part of Greater Kota Kinabalu area. Etymology The name ''Penampang'' came from an old village within the district. Sepanggar
Sepanggar is a sub-district of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. It is located around Sepanggar Bay which houses the Sepanggar Bay Container Terminal, a major naval base for the Royal Malaysian Navy as well as the Sepanggar Bay Oil Terminal. Darulmakmur Stadium
Darul Makmur Stadium ( ms, Stadium Darul Makmur) is a multi-purpose stadium located in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. It is mostly use for football (soccer), football matches, with a capacity of 40,000 people. The stadium has a running track, in addition to the football field. It was opened in 1970, while capacity was increased after renovations in 1995 in conjunction with Kuantan hosting the Sukma Games in 1996 and 2012. Kuantan
Kuantan ( Jawi: ) is a city and the state capital of Pahang, Malaysia. It is located near the mouth of the Kuantan River. Kuantan is the 18th largest city in Malaysia based on 2010 population, and the largest city in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Betaria FC
Betaria FC was a Malaysian football club, based in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan. They promoted to Premier League having won the 2011 Malaysia FAM League. In their debut season in Premier League, they placed 10th out of 12 teams. They were to relegate to FAM League after losing 3-0 to Muar Municipal Council FC in their relegation playoff match; this was delayed when MP Muar FC pulled out of the league. A play-off match was set with UiTM FC, the third-placed team in 2012 Malaysia FAM League. Betaria remained in the premier League when they won 3-0. Their U-23 youth team also made headlines in the 2012 Malaysia President Cup tournament, finishing as runners-up to Perak FA in the final. Tumpat Football Association ( ms, Persatuan Bola Sepak Jajahan Tumpat) commonly known as Tumpat FA is a football team based in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. They play in Malaysia FAM League. In 2012, the team was promoted to play in Malaysia FAM League. In 2014, Tumpat FA has withdrawn from competition because financial issue. Tumpat FA is not Kelantan FA second team.
