Rovereto (; "wood of sessile oaks"; locally: ''Roveredo'') is a city and ''comune'' in Trentino in northern Italy, located in the Vallagarina valley of the Adige River. History Rovereto was an ancient fortress town standing at the frontier between the bishopric of Trento – an independent state until 1797 – and the republic of Venice, and later between Austrian Tyrol and Italy. Biography She was born in Ukraine but has been an Italian citizen since 27 May 2013. She has lived in the town of Pagani (close to Naples) in Italy with her parents since 2002. Her father, Serhiy (a former decathlete), is her coach. She trains in Formia where she has lived since the end of 2014. Her mother Oksana Derkach was a good triple jumper. Gianmarco Tamberi (born 1 June 1992) is an Italian high jumper, current Olympic champion (2020 Summer Olympics) and World indoor champion (2016). He won the 2021 Diamond League crown, becoming the first ever Italian to do so, and repeated this in 2022. Career Gianmarco is coached by his father, Marco Tamberi, who held the indoor Italian record in 1983 with a height of 2.28 m.
