The 2014 Grand Prix Hassan II is a professional tennis tournament played on clay courts. It is the 30th edition of the tournament, which is part of the 2014 ATP World Tour. Clay Court
A clay court is one of the types of tennis court on which the sport of tennis, originally known as "lawn tennis", is played. Clay courts are made of crushed stone, brick, shale, or other unbound mineral aggregate depending on the tournament. The French Open uses clay courts, the only Grand Slam tournament to do so. Clay courts are more common in Continental Europe and Latin America than in North America, Asia-Pacific or Britain. Two main types exist: red clay, the more common variety, and green clay, also known as "rubico", which is a harder surface. Although less expensive to construct than other types of tennis courts, the maintenance costs of clay are high as the surface must be rolled to preserve flatness. Hicham Khaddari
Hicham Khaddari (born 19 August 1991) is a Moroccan former professional tennis player. Khaddari played for Morocco's Davis Cup team from 2011 to 2014, appearing in a total of six ties, for four singles and one doubles win. His only Futures title win was as a qualifier in Sharm El Sheikh in 2013 and he made his ATP Tour main draw debut came at the 2014 Grand Prix Hassan II in Casablanca, the city of his birth. Colin Fleming
Colin Fleming (born 13 August 1984) is a British retired professional tennis player who specialised in doubles. As part of the Davis Cup team, he won eight successive doubles matches to help Great Britain into the World Group. He also won his doubles match in the World Group quarter final against Italy. At the 2010 Commonwealth Games, he won the mixed doubles gold medal with Jocelyn Rae for Scotland. He has reached nineteen ATP Tour doubles finals in his career, winning eight of them: two in 2009, 2012 and 2013 and one in 2011 and 2015. John Peers
John William Peers (born 25 July 1988) is an Australian professional tennis player who specialises in doubles. He won his first Grand Slam title at the 2017 Australian Open, where he and Henri Kontinen won the men's doubles event. Peers also finished runner up at the Wimbledon Championships and US Open in 2015 alongside Jamie Murray, and at the 2019 Australian Open with Kontinen. He is also a Grand Slam champion in mixed doubles, winning the 2022 US Open alongside fellow Australian Storm Sanders. Filip Peliwo ( , ; born January 30, 1994) is a Canadian-born Polish professional tennis player. Peliwo became the first Canadian male and second Canadian ever to win a Grand Slam in singles at any level with his 2012 Wimbledon boys' title win.
