2014 French F4 Championship Season
The 2014 French F4 Championship season was the 22nd season of the series for 1600cc Formula Renault machinery, and the fourth season to run under the guise of the French F4 Championship. The series began on 26 April at Le Mans and ended on 26 October at Le Castellet, after seven rounds and twenty-one races. The championship was won by Denmark's Lasse Sørensen, who won eight races – including two hat-tricks at Val de Vienne and Nogaro – and took a total of seventeen podium finishes. Sørensen – who also won the International series due to his performances – finished almost 150 points clear of his next closest rival, Dorian Boccolacci, a member of the Lotus F1 team's junior development setup. Formula Renault
Formula Renault are classes of formula racing popular in Europe and elsewhere. Regarded as an entry-level series to motor racing, it was founded in 1971, and was a respected series where drivers can learn advanced racecraft before moving on to higher formulas. Renault now backs the French F4 Championship and Formula Regional European Championship. The World Series by Renault once included Formula Renault 3.5 before becoming World Series Formula V8 3.5 in 2016, then folding in 2017. Vladimir Atoev
Vladimir Atoev (born 22 January 1999) is a Russian racing driver. Career Karting Prior to his single-seater career, Atoev enjoyed a successful period in karting, winning the Russian Karting Championship Supermini class in 2009 and finishing second in the KF3 class two years later. Outside of his native Russia, he finished sixth in the KF3 WSK Final Cup in 2012. Formula 4 Atoev made his single-seater debut in 2014, racing in the French F4 Championship. He finished the season in eleventh place, with a best race result of fourth achieved at both Nogaro and Paul Ricard. He did take victory in the second race of the Nogaro event, but was penalised with a 30-second time penalty for a collision with Belgian driver Max Defourny. Max Defourny (born 9 October 1998) is a Belgian-born professional racing driver based in Luxembourg, currently competing in Formula Renault 2.0.
