2014 FIFA Club World Cup Final
The 2014 FIFA Club World Cup Final was the final match of the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup, a football tournament hosted by Morocco. It was the 11th final of the FIFA Club World Cup, a tournament organised by FIFA between the winners of the six continental confederations, as well as the host nation's league champions. The final was contested between Spanish club Real Madrid, representing UEFA as the reigning champions of the UEFA Champions League, and Argentine club San Lorenzo, representing CONMEBOL as the reigning champions of the Copa Libertadores. 2014 FIFA Club World Cup
The 2014 FIFA Club World Cup (officially known as the FIFA Club World Cup Morocco 2014 presented by Toyota for sponsorship reasons) was the 11th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, a FIFA-organised international club football tournament between the winners of the six continental confederations as well as the host nation's league champions. It was hosted by Morocco for the second year in a row, and played from 10 to 20 December 2014. Defending champions Bayern Munich did not qualify as they were eliminated in the semi-finals of the 2013–14 UEFA Champions League by eventual winners Real Madrid. 1966 Intercontinental Cup
The 1966 Intercontinental Cup was the two-legged tie to define the champion of the Intercontinental Cup. It was contested by Uruguayan club Peñarol and Spanish Real Madrid, which met again after their first encounter in 1960. In the first match, held in Estadio Centenario, Peñarol beat Real Madrid 2–0. The 2002 Intercontinental Cup was an association football match played on 3 December 2002, between Real Madrid of Spain, winners of the 2001–02 UEFA Champions League, and Olimpia of Paraguay, winners of the 2002 Copa Libertadores. The match was played for the first time in the tournament's history at the International Stadium Yokohama in Yokohama. This encounter marked a special occasion for Olimpia and Real Madrid, as both teams celebrated their centenary in 2002. The 1960 Intercontinental Cup was the inaugural edition of the matchup between the reigning European football champion and the reigning South American football champion. The idea was born of discussions between Pierre Delauney, UEFA secretary and José Ramón de Freitas, CONMEBOL secretary. The 2000 FIFA Club World Championship was the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup, the world club championship for men's club association football teams. It took place in Brazil from 5 January to 14 January 2000.
