2014 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0
The 2014 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season was a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across Europe. The championship featured drivers competing in 2 litre Formula Renault single seat race cars that conformed to the technical regulations for the championship. The 2014 season was the 24th Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season organised by Renault Sport. The season began at Motorland Aragón on 26 April and finished on 19 October at Jerez. The series formed part of the World Series by Renault meetings at seven double header events. The championship titles were secured by driver Nyck de Vries, who spent his third season in the series and his team Koiranen GP. Hendrik Johannes Nicasius "Nyck" de Vries (; born 6 February 1995) is a Dutch racing driver who is currently serving as the reserve driver for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. He is confirmed to be driving full-time in Formula 1 at Scuderia AlphaTauri in . George William Russell (; born 15 February 1998) is a British racing driver currently competing in Formula One for Mercedes. He was the FIA Formula 2 champion and the 2017 GP3 Series champion, driving for ART in both campaigns. Aurélien Panis (born 29 October 1994 in Saint-Martin-d'Hères) is a professional French racing driver. He is best known for being the son of the former Formula 1 driver, Olivier Panis. R-ace GP is an auto racing team from France, involved in many areas of motorsport, specifically those involving Renault. They are currently competing in the Formula Regional European Championship, Italian F4 and ADAC F4. History R-ace GP was founded in 2011 by Thibaut de Merindol and Cyril Comte. Moscow Raceway is an FIA-approved motor racing venue, which is situated in the Volokolamsky District of Moscow Oblast, near the villages of Sheludkovo and Fedyukovo, from Moscow, Russia. Bruno Bonifacio (born 2 November 1994) is a Brazilian racing driver. Career Karting Born in São Paulo, Bonifacio entered karting in 2006, when he took the titles in the Junior Menor class of the Petrobras Cup and Brazilian Kart Cup. Hungaroring
The Hungaroring is a motorsport racetrack in Mogyoród, Pest County, Hungary where the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix is held. In 1986, it became the location of the first Formula One Grand Prix behind the Iron Curtain. Bernie Ecclestone wanted a race in the USSR, but a Hungarian friend recommended Budapest. They wanted a street circuit similar to the Circuit de Monaco to be built in the Népliget – Budapest's largest park – but the government decided to build a new circuit just outside the city near a major highway. Construction works started on 1 October 1985. It was built in eight months, less time than any other Formula One circuit.
