The 2014 Dwars door Vlaanderen was the 69th edition of the Dwars door Vlaanderen cycle race and was held on 26 March 2014. The race started in Roeselare and finished in Waregem. The race was won by Niki Terpstra. Niki Terpstra
Niki Terpstra (; born 18 May 1984) is a Dutch racing cyclist, who rides for UCI ProTeam . He is the brother of fellow racing cyclist Mike Terpstra. He is the third Dutch cyclist to have won both of the cobbled Monument spring classics, Paris–Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders, after Jan Raas and Hennie Kuiper. Career Early life and career Niki Terpstra was born on 18 May 1984 in Beverwijk in the Netherlands. He was part of the silver medal-winning team in the team pursuit in the 2005 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, together with Levi Heimans, Jens Mouris and Peter Schep. With a 4th place in the Three Days of De Panne followed by a 14th place at the 2008 Tour of Flanders, young Terpstra showed signs of considerable talent. Yauheni Hutarovich (born 29 November 1983) is a Belarusian former road racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 2007 and 2016 for the , , and teams. He currently works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team . Career In the 2009 Tour de France, Hutarovich was the lanterne rouge, or the last placed overall rider in the general classification (GC). On stage 2 of the 2010 Vuelta a España, Hutarovich surprised everyone as he jumped from the wheel of Mark Cavendish to claim his first Grand Tour stage win, besting other top sprinters such as Tyler Farrar and Alessandro Petacchi. Waregem (; vls, Woaregem), sometimes known as Waereghem, is a municipality and city located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. Roeselare (; french: Roulers, ; West Flemish: ''Roeseloare'') is a Belgian city and municipality in the Flemish province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Roeselare proper and the towns of Beveren, Oekene and Rumbeke.
