2014 Dutch National Time Trial Championships – Women's Time Trial
The Women's time trial of the 2014 Dutch National Time Trial Championships ''(NK tijdrijden 2014)'' will take place in Zaltbommel, the Netherlands, on 25 June 2014. It is the eighth time that Zaltbommel organizes the Dutch National Time Trial Championships. The last time was in 2009. Also Emmen showed interest to organizes the National Time Trial Championships, but will now be the host in 2015. Ellen van Dijk is the defending champion, who won the national title at the 2013 Dutch National Time Trial Championships. Dutch National Time Trial Championships
The Dutch National Time Trial Championship is a time trial race that takes place inside the Dutch National Cycling Championship, and decides the best cyclist in this type of race. The first edition took place in 1991. The first race winner of the time trial championship was Bart Voskamp in 1991. Stef Clement and Tom Dumoulin hold the record for the most wins in the men's championship with four. The women's record is held by Leontien van Moorsel with six wins. Thalita de Jong (born 6 November 1993) is a Dutch racing cyclist, who currently rides for Dutch amateur team JEGG–DJR Academy. In 2016, de Jong won the elite women's title at the Dutch National Cyclo-cross Championships, the UEC European Cyclo-cross Championships and the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships. Amy Pieters (born 1 June 1991) is a Dutch professional road and track cyclist, who is contracted to ride for UCI Women's WorldTeam . She was a member of the Dutch team that finished sixth at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the team pursuit (together with Ellen van Dijk, Kirsten Wild and Vera Koedooder). On 23 December 2021, Pieters was placed in an induced coma and underwent emergency surgery to relieve pressure on her brain caused by a fall that day during a training ride near Alicante with the Dutch national track team.
