The 2014 Division 1, part of the 2014 Swedish football season, was the 9th season of Sweden's third-tier football league in its current format. The 2014 fixtures were released in December 2013. The season started on 20 April 2014 and concluded on 2 November 2014. Teams A total of 28 teams contested the league, divided into two division, Norra and Södra. 20 returning from the 2012 season, two relegated from Superettan and six promoted from Division 2. The champion of each division qualified directly for promotion to Superettan, the two runners-up had to play a play-off against the thirteenth and fourteenth team from Superettan to decide who would play in Superettan 2015. The bottom three teams in each division qualified directly for relegation to Division 2. Due to four promoted teams from Division 2 being geographically located in Division 1 Södra, IF Sylvia were relocated from Division 1 Södra to Division 1 Norra. Ettan Fotboll, or simply Ettan ( en, the one), which also is its common name in everyday speech, is the third level in the Swedish football league system and consists of 32 Sweden, Swedish football (soccer), football teams. It was formerly simply known as ''Division 1''. Division 1 was the second tier from 1987 to 1999, but was replaced by Superettan in 2000. Lunds BK
Lunds BK is a football club from Lund, Sweden founded in 1919. The club currently plays in Division 1 Södra. Despite their relative success Lunds BK has never competed in the Allsvenskan or Superettan, but has played nine seasons in the second highest level. The club is well known for their youth football programme and has managed numerous players such as Martin Dahlin and Roger Ljung who have progressed to major clubs. History The team was first formed in 1919 when Lund GIF's youth players rebelled against their coach because they were not getting any playing time. IS Halmia
IS Halmia is a football club, located in Halmstad, Sweden. Background IS Halmia was founded on 16 June 16, 1907 and currently plays in Division 2 Västra Götaland. In early years, the club also played bandy. The first ever bandy game between two organised teams in Halland, is thought to have been played between Halmia and local rival Halmstads BK in 1922. IFK Luleå is a Swedish football club formed in 1900, located in Luleå. The club merged with Luleå FF and played under the name Luleå FF/IFK from 1986 to 1989. History IFK Luleå was originally founded in the year 1900, but went dormant after some years.
