2014 Dally M Awards
The 2014 Dally M Awards were presented on Monday 29 September 2014 at Sydney's The Star, Sydney, Star Casino. Broadcast on Fox Sports Australia, Fox Sports, the awards ceremony was hosted by Matthew Johns. They are the official annual awards of the National Rugby League and are named after Dally Messenger. The Dally M Medal was awarded to Jarryd Hayne and Johnathan Thurston in a tie of votes, making it the first time for the medal to be awarded to joint winners. The Star, Sydney
The Star Sydney (formerly Star City Casino and prior to that, Sydney Harbour Casino) in Pyrmont, New South Wales, Pyrmont, Sydney, is the second largest casino in Australia after Melbourne's Crown Melbourne, Crown Casino. Brad Fittler
Bradley Scott Fittler (born 5 February 1972), also known by the nickname of "Freddy", is the head coach of the New South Wales State of Origin team, a commentator and a television presenter. Fittler has previously coached the Sydney Roosters in the NRL, the NSW City side and at international level he coached Lebanon. He is a former professional player who was named among the finest rugby league footballers of the first century of rugby league in Australia. Nicknamed 'Freddy', Fittler captained both New South Wales and Australia, and in 2000 was awarded the Golden Boot. He retired as the most-capped New South Wales State of Origin player, inducted into the NSWRL Hall of Fame and third-most-capped Australian international player. Kieran Foran (born 13 July 1990) is a New Zealand professional rugby league footballer who plays as a or for the Gold Coast Titans in the NRL and New Zealand at international level. Cameron Wayne Smith (born 18 June 1983) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played as a , spending his entire career with the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League (NRL). Daryl Halligan
Daryl John Halligan (born 25 July 1966) is a rugby league commentator and former professional player. A New Zealand international winger, he was the pre-eminent goal-kicker of his era, retiring as the highest point scorer in Australian premiership history.
