2014 Christy Ring Cup
The 2014 Christy Ring Cup was the tenth staging of the Christy Ring Cup hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2005. The cup competition began on 3 May 2014 and ended on 7 June 2014. Down were the defending champions; however, they lost their opening two games and avoided relegation by defeating Armagh in a play-off, before being awarded the final promotion/relegation playoff when Tyrone withdrew. Kildare GAA
The Kildare County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), or Kildare GAA, is one of 12 county boards governed by the Leinster provincial council of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Kildare The County Board is responsible for preparing the Kildare county teams in the various Gaelic sporting codes; football, hurling and camogie. The 2001 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 114th staging of Ireland's premier hurling knock-out competition. Tipperary won the championship, beating Galway 2-18 to 2-15 in the final at Croke Park, Dublin. Calendar Format The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was run on a provincial basis as usual. 1891 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 1891 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the fifth staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887. The championship began on 20 September 1891 and ended on 28 February 1892. Cork were the defending champions, however, they were defeated in the provincial series. 2011 Christy Ring Cup
The 2011 Christy Ring Cup was the seventh season of the Christy Ring Cup since its establishment in 2005. Teams A total of eight teams contested the Christy Ring Cup, including seven sides from the 2010 Christy Ring Cup and one promoted team from the 2010 Nicky Rackard Cup. Both Derry and Mayo failed to win any of their games in the 2010 Christy Ring Cup and qualified for the relegation play-off. No match took place and both teams preserved their status for the 2011 season.
