The 2014 Chinese FA Super Cup (Chinese: 2014中国足球协会超级杯) is the 12th Chinese FA Super Cup. The match was played at Guiyang Olympic Sports Center on 16 February 2014, contested by Super League winners Guangzhou Evergrande and FA Cup winners Guizhou Moutai. Guizhou Moutai defeated Guangzhou Evergrande 1–0, thus winning their first ever Chinese FA Super Cup title, and Guangzhou lost for two consecutive years. Chinese FA Super Cup
The Chinese FA Super Cup (), formerly named Chinese Football Super Cup (), is a pre-season association football, football competition held before the season begins in China PR, China. It is a Chinese football championship contested by the winners of top division of Professional League (former Chinese Jia-A League, now Chinese Super League) and the Chinese FA Cup, FA Cup last season. If both teams are the same, the opponent is the runners-up of league last season. It is the Chinese equivalent to the English FA Community Shield, in which the winners of the Premier League and FA Cup compete for the trophy. It was created in 1995 but was not held between 2004 and 2011. The most successful club is Guangzhou F.C., Guangzhou with four titles. Rao Weihui
Rao Weihui (; born 25 March 1989) is a Chinese footballer who currently plays for Chinese Super League club Meizhou Hakka. Club career Rao Weihui started his football career in 2008 with Chinese Super League club Shaanxi Chanba after he graduated from the club's youth team. He made his debut for the club on 9 April 2008 in a 0–0 away draw with Shenzhen Shangqingyin and was described by then manager Cheng Yaodong as an exciting prospect for the future. Despite the strong support from the manager, the club would struggle during the 2009 season with ultimately led to Cheng leaving the club, which left Rao with very little playing time throughout the season. Gong Lei (footballer)
Gong Lei () (born 15 October 1965) is a Chinese football manager and former player as well as media pundit. As a player he represented Beijing Team, AS Pirae, Toronto Lynx, South China, Toronto Olympians and Beijing Kuanli before he retired and moved into coaching. His first coaching position would be with Gansu Tianma F.C. where he had a short spell with them before becoming an assistant at Shaanxi Zhongjian. Chen Zijie
Chen Zijie (; born 24 December 1989) is a Chinese footballer who plays for Xian Ronghai. Club career Chen Zijie began his football career when he played for Shaanxi National Power's youth team and in 2007, he moved to Shaanxi Baorong Chanba's youth team after his previous club dissolved. He was then loaned to China League Two club Shaanxi Star for one season. Yang Yihu
Yang Yihu (; born 16 September 1991) is a Chinese footballer who currently plays for Meizhou Hakka. Club career Yang Yihu was promoted to Guangzhou's first team in 2009 but did not appear in a single league game that season. He made his debut for Guangzhou on 3 April 2010 in a 3-1 win against Beijing BIT and was described by then manager Lee Jang-Soo as a hot prospect for the future. However, Yang did not have much of a chance to play for Guangzhou as the club had many strong attacking players such as Muriqui, Gao Lin, Jiang Ning, Darío Conca and Cléo. Li Chunyu () (born October 9, 1986, in Shenyang, Liaoning) is a Chinese former professional football player who played as a midfielder. Club career Li Chunyu began his professional football career with Chinese Super League club Shenyang Ginde where he would make his league debut against Liaoning Zhongyu on October 31, 2004, in a 3–1 defeat. Wan Houliang
Wan Houliang (; born 25 February 1986) is a retired Chinese international footballer who played as a defender. Club career Wan Houliang would start his career playing for his hometown club Beijing Huaya Feiying's youth team before going on a football training course in Serbia where he played for third tier side FK ČSK Čelarevo's youth and reserve team. Xavier Chen (; born 5 October 1983) is a former professional footballer who played as a right-back. He began his youth career with Anderlecht before moving to KV Kortrijk where he first played at senior level (2003–2007). Liu Tianqi (; born 17 January 1989) is a Chinese football player. Club career Liu was born in Jixi, Heilongjiang and moved to Shenyang with his family when he was still a boy. Qu Bo (; born 15 July 1981) is a Chinese retired footballer. Club career Qu Bo started his football career playing for Tianjin Locomotive's youth team where he was spotted by and then transferred to top-tier side Qingdao in 2000. Fan Yunlong
Fan Yunlong (Chinese: 范云龙; Pinyin: ''Fàn Yúnlóng''; born 15 March 1989) is a Chinese footballer who currently plays for China League One side Guizhou Hengfeng. Club career Fan Yunlong started his football career with hometown club Guizhou Zhicheng in 2008 and played in the China League Two with the club for three seasons. He then transferred to China League One side Shanghai East Asia after Guizhou Zhicheng failed to promote in the 2010 season.
