2014 CAA Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2014 Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball tournament was held March 7–10 at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. The champion received an automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2014 NCAA tournament. The 2014 tournament featured nine teams due to the departure of George Mason Patriots, George Mason from the conference to join the Atlantic 10, and the addition of the College of Charleston Cougars, College of Charleston. Baltimore Arena
CFG Bank Arena (originally the Baltimore Civic Center and formerly Royal Farms Arena, Baltimore Arena and 1st Mariner Arena) is a multipurpose arena in Baltimore, Maryland. This venue is located about one block away from the Baltimore Convention Center on the corner of Baltimore Street and Hopkins Place and also only a short distance from the Inner Harbor. With a seating capacity of 14,000 for concerts, CFG Bank Arena is owned by the City of Baltimore and managed by the Oak View Group, a global sports and entertainment company. It officially opened on October 23, 1962. Designed by AG Odell Jr. and Associates, it was built on the site of Old Congress Hall, where the Continental Congress met in 1776. As a cornerstone for the Inner Harbor redevelopment during the 1980s, it was reopened after renovations and was then renamed the Baltimore Arena in 1986. Frantz Massenat
Jean Frantz Massenat Jr. (born January 17, 1992) is an American-Haitian professional basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Drexel Dragons. In his collegiate career at Drexel University, He was named to the First Team All-CAA following the 2011–12 season as a sophomore, leading the Drexel Dragons to 2012 CAA men's basketball tournament where they were narrowly defeated by Virginia Commonwealth University. Massenat started in every game of his collegiate career at Drexel. Following his senior season, he ranked sixth on Drexel's career scoring list with 1,646 points, and his 548 career assists ranked third all-time at Drexel and ninth in CAA history. Scott Eatherton
Scott Eatherton (born December 26, 1991) is an American basketball player who played for Nagoya Diamond Dolphins of Japan's B.League. He played college basketball for the Saint Francis Red Flash and the Northeastern Huskies. Eatherton was born in Orlando, Florida and raised in Hershey, Pennsylvania. After a prep career at Hershey High School, he signed with Saint Francis University of Loretto, Pennsylvania. After two seasons he transferred to Northeastern University in Boston, where as a senior he was named to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) all-defensive team and first-team all-conference. Undrafted out of college, Eatherton signed with Fortitudo Agrigento in Italy for the 2015–16 season. He then moved to Germany, first for BG Göttingen for a season, and then to Löwen Braunschweig, where he would play three seasons. 2013–14 Drexel Dragons Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Drexel Dragons men's basketball team represented Drexel University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Dragons, led by 13th year head coach Bruiser Flint, played their home games at the Daskalakis Athletic Center and were members of the Colonial Athletic Association. On November 18, 2013, head coach Bruiser Flint recorded his 300th career win as an NCAA basketball head coach in defeating Elon.
