2014 All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling Championship
The 2014 All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 31st staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship for players in the intermediate grade since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1961. The championship began on 25 May 2014 and ended on 9 August 2014. Tipperary were the defending champions, however, they were defeated in the provincial decider. Cork won the title after defeating Wexford by 2-18 to 2-12 in the All-Ireland final. Michael O'Sullivan (hurler)
Michael O'Sullivan (born 15 August 1990) is an Irish hurler who played as a full-forward for the Cork senior team. Born in Minane Bridge, County Cork, O'Sullivan first played competitive hurling in his younger days and at school. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of nineteen when he first linked up with the Cork under-21 team, before later lining out with the intermediate side. He joined the senior panel for the 2012 National Hurling League. O'Sullivan currently plays in the United States. On 3 April 2014 it was announced that O'Sullivan had been dropped from Cork's championship panel. Bobby Duggan
Bobby Duggan (born 1995) is an Irish hurler who plays as a centre-forward for the Clare senior team. Born in Clarecastle, County Clare, Duggan was introduced to hurling in his youth. He first came to prominence playing in the Harty Cup with St. Flannan's College while simultaneously joining the minor and under-21 teams with the Clarecastle club. Duggan subsequently joined the club's senior team. Duggan made his debut on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Clare minor team before later enjoying All-Ireland success with the under-21 team. He made his senior debut during the 2014 Waterford Crystal Cup. He has since gone on to become a regular member of the Clare senior team. O'Connor Park
O'Connor Park ( ga, Páirc Uí Chonchúir) is a GAA stadium in Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland. It is one of the principal grounds of the Offaly GAA Gaelic football and hurling teams. It is known for sponsorship reasons as Bord na Móna O’Connor Park. The ground was opened in 1934, to replace Ballyduff Park, and currently has a capacity of 18,000. The ground currently consists of a covered stand on one side of the pitch, with terracing on the other three. A stand was built in 1991, but replaced by the current structure in 2006. The GAA Hurling Intermediate All-Ireland Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). Effectively contested by the second string teams of the top inter-county hurling sides in Ireland, the tournament has taken place every year since 1997—having originally been run between 1961 and 1973. The final, currently held in July, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during the early summer, and the results determine which team receives the Michael Cusack Cup. Páirc Uí Rinn (), also known as Páirc Chríostóir Uí Rinn, is a Gaelic Athletic Association stadium located between Ballinlough and Ballintemple in Cork. It was previously known as Flower Lodge and was used as an association football stadium. The Semple Stadium is the home of hurling and Gaelic football for Tipperary GAA and for the province of Munster. Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Munster Hurling Intermediate Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1961 for the strong hurling teams in the province of Munster in Ireland. In some cases the teams consist of players who are not on the senior squads for their county (thus in effect, they are a second team), or in others of players who are from junior or intermediate clubs. The competition was established to prevent the stronger counties from dominating the Munster Junior Hurling Championship. Nowlan Park
UPMC Nowlan Park (; ) is the principal Gaelic Athletic Association stadium in Kilkenny, Ireland. Named after James Nowlan (the longest serving President of the GAA), the stadium hosts major hurling matches and is home to the Kilkenny hurling team. It opened in 1927 replacing St. James Park.
