2014 Aaha! Rara Gold Cup
The 2014 Aaha! Rara Gold Cup is the 12th edition of the Aaha Gold Cup held in Pokhara and organised by Sahara Club (Pokhara), Sahara Club. 12 teams participated in the tournament. The defending champions Three Star Club have chosen not to compete. All matches were held at the Pokhara Rangasala. Due to a sponsorship deal with Him-Shree Foods (a Pokhara-based food company), the tournament is officially known as the 12th Aaha! Rara Gold Cup 2014. Which is named after its flagship product, "Rara noodle (food brand), RARA" instant noodles. Sponsorship Main sponsors of the tournament, Him Shree Foods Pvt Ltd provided 900,000 Nepali Rupee, NPR to the organisers as the title sponsors. Sahara Club (Pokhara)
Sahara Club- Pokhara is a social welfare organization established in 1998. It works to enhance the standard of Nepalese football by running a social football academy in Pokhara. The academy assembles street boys and orphans from different districts of Nepal. The club is unique as it has been successful in highlighting the causes it stands for by using the most sought out game football. Sahara Academy The academy is the main highlight of the club shaping the lives of more than 30 children. Sahara Club academy is in Dobilla, Pokhara which covers 26 ropanees of land. Sankata Boys Sports Club, commonly known as Sankata Club, is a Nepalese professional football club based in Kathmandu, that competes in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. Named after Sankata Temple, the club has won the national championship three times, most recently in 1985. History Being a successful club in the 1980s, Sankata won the title of the national championship in 1980, 1983 and 1985. Machhindra FC (formally known as Machhindra Bahal Club) is a Nepali professional football club from the central Kathmandu, neighborhood of Keltole, playing in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League.
