2013–14 West Ham United F.C. Season
The 2013–14 season was West Ham Uniteds second campaign in the Premier League since being promoted in the 2011–12 season. It was West Ham's 18th Premier League campaign overall. As well as competing in the Premier League, West Ham took part in the FA Cup and the League Cup, entering at the third and second rounds respectively. They were eliminated in the third round of the FA Cup following a 5–0 away defeat by Nottingham Forest. They reached the semi-finals of the League Cup before losing 9–0 on aggregate to Manchester City. West Ham finished in 13th place in the league. Sam Allardyce took charge of his third full season as West Ham manager. Kevin Nolan captained West Ham for the third season running. West or Occident is one of the four cardinal directions or points of the compass. It is the opposite direction from east and is the direction in which the Sun sets on the Earth. Cheltenham (), also known as Cheltenham Spa, is a spa town and borough on the edge of the Cotswolds in the county of Gloucestershire, England. Real Betis Balompié, known as Real Betis () or just Betis, is a Spanish professional football club based in Seville in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Founded in 1907, it plays in La Liga. Eoin Wearen
Eoin Patrick Wearen (born 2 October 1992) is a retired Irish footballer who played as a midfielder/defender for various clubs in both the UK and Ireland. Club career Growing-up in Dublin, Wearen played Gaelic football for Scoil Uí Chonaill and football for St. Kevin's Boys, the boys' club in Dublin which gave starts to Liam Brady, Damien Duff and Stephen Carr amongst others. Given the opportunity to join Dublin's Gaelic Football team in 2008 he instead chose to join the youth team of West Ham United. Having played youth and reserve team football, in January 2012 he moved on loan to League Two side, Dagenham & Redbridge until 31 January 2012. Carlton Cole
Carlton Michael George Cole (born 12 October 1983) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who played as a striker. He scored 52 goals in 288 Premier League appearances for four clubs. Cole began his career at Chelsea in 2001, spending spells out on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Aston Villa before being transferred to West Ham United in 2006. He was released by West Ham in 2013 only to be re-signed several months later, and the club released him for a second time in May 2015. Andrew Thomas Carroll (born 6 January 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Championship side Reading. He has played in the Premier League and English Football League for Newcastle United, Preston North End, Liverpool, West Ham United, and West Bromwich Albion, and has nine caps for the England national team, scoring two goals. Răzvan Raț
Răzvan Dincă Raț (; born 26 May 1981) is a Romanian former footballer who mainly played as a left-back. He made a name for himself in Romania at Rapid București, with which he won two national titles, one national cup and one supercup between 1998 and 2003. The latter year, Raț moved to Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine, collecting 15 domestic trophies and one UEFA Cup over the course of ten seasons. In 2009, he came second in voting for the Romanian Footballer of the Year award. He also represented West Ham United, Rayo Vallecano, PAOK and ACS Poli Timișoara before retiring in 2018. Premier League
The Premier League (legal name: The Football Association Premier League Limited) is the highest level of the men's English football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the English Football League (EFL). Seasons typically run from August to May with each team playing 38 matches (playing all 19 other teams both home and away).
