2013–14 Southern Jaguars Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Southern Jaguars basketball team represented Southern University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Jaguars, led by third year head coach Roman Banks, played their home games at the F. G. Clark Center and were members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 19–13, 15–3 in SWAC play to win the regular season conference championship. They were ineligible for postseason play due to APR penalties. However, the SWAC received a waiver to allow its teams under APR penalties to still participate in the SWAC tournament where the Jaguars lost in the quarterfinals to Prairie View A&M. Roman Patrick Banks is a former American basketball coach and the current athletic director at Southern University. Banks previously served as the Southern Jaguars basketball, head men's basketball coach for the Southern Jaguars before he was promoted to AD on March 31, 2017. Waco ( ) is the county seat of McLennan County, Texas, United States. It is situated along the Brazos River and I-35, halfway between Dallas and Austin. 2013–14 Florida Gators Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Florida Gators men's basketball team represented the University of Florida in the sport of basketball during the 2013–14 college basketball season. The Gators competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They were led by head coach Billy Donovan, and played their home games in the O'Connell Center on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus. The Gators finished the SEC regular season with an 18–0 record in conference play, the first SEC team to ever accomplish the feat, after the SEC re-expanded to an 18-game regular season schedule prior to the 2012–13 season. In doing so, the Gators won their seventh SEC regular season championship, and their third in four seasons. UNF Arena
UNF Arena is a multi-purpose arena located on the campus of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. It is home to the North Florida Ospreys men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball teams. It is also used for other events, such as concerts and graduation ceremonies, and has served as the site of the Orlando Magic franchise's training camp. It opened in 1993 and has a capacity of up to 6,300. In 2004 the Arena was used by the U.S. Men's and Women's Olympic teams. On September 2, 2008, the University announced plans for UNF Varsity Village. Upgrades will be on the existing locker rooms, athletics offices, scoreboard, and seating. The 2013–14 North Florida Ospreys men's basketball team represented the University of North Florida during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Ospreys, led by fifth year head coach Matthew Driscoll, played their home games at the UNF Arena and were members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They finished the season 16–16, 10–8 in A-Sun play to finish in a three way tie for fourth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Sun tournament to USC Upstate. 2013–14 Tulane Green Wave Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Tulane Green Wave men's basketball team represented Tulane University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Green Wave, led by fourth-year head coach Ed Conroy, played their home games at Devlin Fieldhouse and were members of Conference USA. They finished the season 17–17, 8–8 in C-USA play to finish in seventh place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the C-USA tournament where they lost to Tulsa. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where the lost in the first round to Princeton. This was their final year in Conference USA as they prepared to move to the American Athletic Conference in July 2014.
