2013–14 Scottish Junior Cup
The 2013–14 Scottish Junior Cup was the 128th season of the Scottish Junior Cup, the national knockout tournament for member clubs of the Scottish Junior Football Association. The winner of this competition is eligible to enter the following season's Scottish Cup at the first round stage. A total of 160 clubs entered, three fewer than the previous season. Dropping out were Bankfoot Athletic, Bishopmill United and Lossiemouth United, who were in abeyance, RAF Lossiemouth, who were playing in welfare football, and Spartans, who had transferred their Junior side to the East of Scotland League. New member Kennoway Star Hearts made their debut in the competition, while Dufftown returned to the tournament after a period of abeyance. Hurlford United F
Hurlford (Scottish Gaelic: ''Baile Àtha Cliath'') is a village in East Ayrshire, Scotland. It has a population of 4,968. Hurlford's former names include Whirlford and Hurdleford. The village was named Whirlford as a result of a ford crossing the River Irvine east of Hurlford Cross, near Shawhill. It shares its name in Gaelic, Baile Àtha Cliath ("The Ford of the Hurdles") with the Irish capital Dublin. The census locality is called Hurlford and Crookedholm. 2013–14 Scottish Cup
The 2013–14 Scottish Cup was the 129th season of Scotland's most prestigious football knockout competition. The tournament will begin on 14 September and end on 17 May 2014. It is sponsored by bookmaker William Hill in the third season of a five-year partnership after a two-year extension was agreed, and is known as the William Hill Scottish Cup. The winner of the competition qualifies for the second qualifying round of the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League. The Scottish Football Museum is Scotland’s national museum of association football, located in Hampden Park in Glasgow. The Museum The museum houses over 2000 objects of football memorabilia, including the world's oldest cap and match ticket from the first official international match of 1872, and the world's oldest national trophy, the Scottish Cup, which was made in 1873. Penalty Shootout (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any). 2012–13 West Of Scotland Super League Premier Division
The 2012–13 West of Scotland Super League Premier Division was the eleventh Super League Premier Division competition since the formation of the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region in 2002. The season began on 18 August 2012. The winners of this competition gain direct entry to round one of the 2013–14 Scottish Cup. The two last placed sides were relegated to the Super League First Division. The third-bottom placed side entered the West Region league play-off, a two-legged tie against the third placed side in the Super League First Division, to decide the final promotion/relegation spot.
