2013–14 Premier League Of Belize
The 2013–14 Premier League of Belize (also known as The Belikin Cup) is the third season of the highest competitive football league in Belize, after it was founded in 2011. There are two seasons which are spread over two years, the opening (which was played towards the end of 2013) and the closing (which was played at the beginning of 2014). Teams Opening season Only 6 of the 8 teams competing in the 2012–13 Premier League of Belize closing season continued to play in the opening season of 2013–14. Placencia Assassins and San Felipe Barcelona dropped out, whilst Paradise/Freedom Fighters re-entered the league, making 7 teams. There would be one league consisting of the 7 teams, who will play each other twice, with the top 4 teams advancing to the end of season playoffs. The opening season commenced on 28 September 2013. Premier League Of Belize
The Premier League of Belize is the highest competitive football league in Belize. It was founded on 28 December 2011 after the merger between the Belize Premier Football League and the Super League of Belize. History The formation of the league was a combination of Belize’s suspension by FIFA and the Belize Premier Football League withdrawing from the Football Federation of Belize. It was decided that a brand new top league was to be formed, the winner of which would represent Belize in the CONCACAF Champions League. Due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2019–20 Premier League of Belize closing season was cancelled after the eighth round of games and a winner was not crowned. MCC Grounds (stadium)
The Marylebone Cricket Club Grounds (''MCC Grounds'' for short) is a Belizean football stadium, located on the Northside of Belize City, Belize. Football It has traditionally been the homefield of all Belize City clubs that participate in national and international competitions. FFB Stadium
FFB Stadium is a football stadium in Belmopan, Belize. It has a capacity of 5,000 spectators. It is the home stadium for the Belize national football team, and is also used by the Premier League of Belize team Police United. Between April and July 2014, FFB stadium received an upgrade to meet CONCACAF standards to hold international and club games. These upgrades which included installation of 1100 - 1600 lux stadium lights, a FIFA certified field with certified bleachers and sanitary facilities with team lockers, as well as a complete enhancement of existing buildings. Benque Viejo del Carmen ("Benque") is the westernmost town in Belize, by road west and south of Belize City, at the Guatemalan border.
